Hey! I've never been to a wedding there, but I'm a fellow Gurney's Inn bride. I'm getting married July 2010. I'll tell you that the prices are pretty expensive per person so its better if you plan on having a smaller guest list. If you get married in November though the prices might be different than peak summer season. I really loved the catering managers I met, Ginny and John. Let me know if you have any specific questions because I can't think of what else to write. As far as reviews, they are few and far between on the internet so good luck!Nicole

I haven't been to Gurney's, but my sister and parents went to a wedding there and love love loved it.  I am planning on visiting the crescent beach club as well.

I'm a big fan of Crescent Beach Club. Never been to a wedding there, but was considering it for ours. Ultimately, we opted to go with an indoor wedding rather than the beachy theme.

Hmm...i wouldn't say run down but some areas are nicer than others. We are opting to do everything outside so it's a little bit different for us. we are into vintage and antique so its pretty up our alley but good luck with ginny! she's really great!Nicole

Hi-I went to a wedding at the Crescent Beach Club in early April of this year.  It was really nice.  Unfortunately the weather was shaky so while the bride & groom were able to take pics outside, the cocktail hour etc. was all inside.  I thought it was very well done overall.  The cocktail hour was on the lower level, lots of tasty stations, good ambiance.  The room upstairs was nice.  It looked out onto the water but you can't really see that at night unless you go out on the patio.  I know my friends who got married there did it on a Fri. night in April and were able to save a lot of $$ that way and it was still really nice.  It's worth checking out.Good luck.

From what I understand November is considered off season. I was at a wedding there last week. It was amazing. You can probably get a great deal. I also spoke to John, he is great. Also, be sure you also contact Michael at east end dj's.

I've been to 2 weddings at the Cresent Beach Club and they were gorgeous ceremonies outside (although it might be a little cold in the fall for that) The room was nice, food was good & the service was great.Gurney's is a little far out east so it depends on how far out your looking for your guests to travel.Captain Bills has great water views too. Have you looked there? I've been to 4 affairs at Captain Bills and every one was wonderful.
