Friday The 13th
Hi all! It's Friday here in India so I thought I would check in and say "hi". Diwali was really fun. I can't post pictures on my mobile but I'll post when I get back to in a week.
India has been good but a bit of a challenge honestly. I sometimes feel alone here because of the language barrier. H tries to interpret but he can't do it all the time. Also, my celiac makes eating a major challenge/barrier. Add to the mix my hormones and I was a hot mess this morning. H handled it like a champ though and I'm feeling much better now.
We have a wedding to go to next week. Sunday is the engagement party, Monday is the Sangeet (a dance/music party). I may get hennaed for it..we'll see. The wedding is Thursday. It should be a fun event and I'm looking forward to it.
Today will hopefully be relaxing. I am getting a facial to try and feel more normal.

Tonight I'm meeting my BFF for dinner and drinks. I haven't seen her in a while and we have a lot of catching up to do!
Tomorrow, I'm going to yoga, food shopping, then cleaning the house and doing laundry. H and I are going to dinner, the Devils game, and then out to watch the Ronda Rousey fight with friends.
Sunday.... well..... let's just say my Eagles play H's Dolphins at 1pm. I'll leave it at that.

I actually really enjoy cooking most of the time and that's increased since I started doing Home Chef (and Blue Apron). So, I guess the answer is no. I'd keep doing what I'm doing now on my own.

Not much. I'm working Saturday and it will be the first one where I'm not losing my mind (probably). We are kinda on the edge of our seats for Sunday. I can't go into detail just yet but a family member of BF is going to be doing something BIG and if all goes well, Sunday will be a day of celebration.

Just Minneapolis in two weeks! BF and I did discuss getting our passports last night though so travel abroad might be in our near future

The only reason I don't enjoy cooking is because I don't know how to do it. I don't think I'd pay someone to come cook, which sounds silly to me because I eat at restaurants like four days a week so I'm kinda already doing that lol

Tonight maybe doing a walking video and reading. Tomorrow I need to get some cleaning done. Sunday will probably be sitting on the couch all day with H while he watches football. I will need to get another workout in too. Also, H needs to take me for a ride in his new truck that he is picking up today.

I'm going to Ohio in January (leaving on the 13th, 2 months from today!) to visit my parents and hopefully my brother too.

None for Friday the 13th. It's actually a good day for me and H since it's our dating anniversary. I wouldn't consider myself a really superstitious person but I do "knock on wood" or get mad when H says something that I think will "jinx" us. Also, some of my mom's side of the family don't do baby showers. eta: well, they will participate in ones for other people but didn't have one themselves, wouldn't throw one for someone.

That would be awesome. I would never pay for it unless I was rich though. I'd rather spend my money on a cleaning service. I don't have a cleaning service but if I had extra money that's where it would go first.

What's on your agenda this weekend? tonight purchase baby shower gift, Saturday afternoon baby shower, Saturday night H is doing guys night so I'm excited to get myself some sushi takeout and curl up with a book and a face mask! Just finished the Japanese Art of Decluttering book so Sunday all day I'll be tackling my home and purging so much!

Nothing exciting. Grocery shopping, a thyroid bloodwork appointment this afternoon, some algebra tutoring, cleaning the house... maybe visiting North Pole City here in the area. It's an entire store that is decorated head to toe with different Christmas themes. It's absolutely gorgeous and they redo it every year. You can buy stuff or just go and look. It can take a good 2-3 hours to go through it, if you're really looking at everything. I'll probably get a CPL and take my time walking through. I can't WAIT!!!!

What's on your agenda this weekend? My bf's brother and his girlfriend and their puppy are flying in from Texas today. So we're meeting at his parents tonight since we haven't seen them in months. We're bringing Callie so she can play with her puppy cousin. They're going to be staying until December 4th, so the next few weeks we'll be spending as much time as possible with them.
Tomorrow I am going to work on my papers while my bf is at work. I'm hoping I can get most of it done. I'd like to turn in all 3 papers before their due dates.

I love to cook, so I don't know if I would have a personal cook everyday, but it would be nice for the days I'm at the office late or just too tired to cook. I don't even know how much a personal chef would be... I'm going to assume around $4,000 -6,000 a month? And if that's the case I'm going to need to be making a whole lot more money before I'd even consider that.

Depends on if they're cooking every day. If they did just dinners every day, it would depend on the quality. I'd probably pay the same I roughly pay for groceries. $300/month

I wouldn't want one every day, but let's say just the weekday breakfasts, lunches and dinners. I'd pay $400, for sure. You know, if I had an extra $400 laying around. Also, I'm pretty sure no one would actually cook all that for that low amount of money. But if they just prepped it and all I had to do was throw it in the crockpot or put it in the oven?

What's on your agenda this weekend? FIL is having a big 60th birthday bash that is going to be catered. ILs are having at their house and are using the same caterer that they used for our rehearsal dinner so I'm excited to have their food again. So good.

What I would like is a cook that would make dinner for me on the days that I don't feel like cooking. I enjoy cooking but there are some days that I just don't want to/have the energy. If they could do meal prep for the week and pack my lunches, that would be even better. I'd pay anything, because I'm pretty sure the only way I'd ever have a personal chef is if I made ridiculous money.

@beachyone15 It's a set of islands off of Portugal. But it's only a 4 hour direct flight from me (Boston) and it's very nature-y with mountains and lakes that you can hike and bike. The temps only get to like 50-60 so it's not a "beachy" island, although obviously they have shoreline, that's not the main attraction. And yay for getting your carpets fixed!

Tonight - making a Home Chef meal and relaxing. Tomorrow - I'm working at a local college doing stats for their basketball games. I'm glad that I have the opportunity to do it, it keeps me from missing my old job too much. Sunday - FOOTBALL.

I wouldn't hire a chef. I really enjoy cooking, and I love feeling like a pro with my Home Chef meals. If I had extra money like that, I'd hire a personal trainer and/or someone to do my hair every day.

Soooo much stuff! Tomorrow I need to clean the house and H needs to do some yardwork. Then we'll try to get in some car shopping before we pick up my BFF from the airport. Sunday my friend and I are probably going to drink all day and Monday we'll most likely spend the afternoon downtown before I have to take her back to the airport. I can't wait!!!

Nothing until next year. We're planning to spend a week in Asheville, NC with our friends. We want to visit the new Sierra Nevada brewery there, do some camping and other outdoor activities, and celebrate birthdays (H's 30th!! and our friend's 28th).

I've been going back and forth on this. I think I'd like to have a cook part time to help with cooking healthy meals with the right portion sizes, but I enjoy cooking and I do it most days of the week so it's NBD to me. The only nice thing would be they could get started on dinner earlier for me.
@MissKittyDanger - celiac does interfere with fertility if you don't have it under tight control...hard to get KU when your body is attacking itself I think.

What's on your agenda this weekend? Tonight, heading over to BF's parents house for dinner, and then chilling at BF's for the night. Tomorrow we will wake up EARLY to go to the WVU football game. It's a noon game, takes about 3hrs to get there, so we are leaving at 7am so we can still get a little tailgating in. Coming home right after and I'm sure it'll be a lazy night!
