HOW?!

I guess that's what happens when the weekend is so much fun. Warning: there are a gazillion pics ahead. 

On Friday, I met H and our friends at the bar before the Devils game. There was a lot of beer involved. 

So on Saturday, I woke up hungover. I made coffee and breakfast and then our friends headed out and I immediately got under my favorite cozy blanket on the couch with the pup. 

When H got home from work, we went out and got our Christmas tree! It's so fluffy! 



It's Brody's first tree so I was very anxious to see how he reacted to it. He was curious at first but then didn't care too much: 



Bailey on the other hand, did what Bailey does which is he climbed it and laid down on the branches in the middle: 



H and I watched Star Wars Episode V and I dressed the kittens up because I couldn't help myself. Hailey would not move. Seriously, she was frozen: 



And Brody ran/rolled around like a maniac while Lucy chased him. They love each other: 



Yesterday, I headed into the city and met these lovely ladies for brunch! 



It was so nice seeing @cu97tiger @Peaseblossom55 and @Hummingbird125 !!!!

When I got home, I spent 2 hours cooking a breakfast casserole and a lunch casserole to bring to work all week. I may have also continued with the mimosa consumption. 

The Eagles beat the Patriots which was a literal miracle and I definitely alternated between jumping up and down on the couch and pacing back and forth across the living room. I still can't believe it. Seriously. Holy crap.

Then, since there was no way in hell I was leaving during the 4th quarter, H and I skipped going to the Devils game and instead watched from home. They also won which made it an Eagles-Dolphins-Devils trifecta win for the Swazzle household! 

This post was long as hell but I had a lot to talk about. Happy Monday

Oof it was so difficult getting out of bed today!

I had a good weekend, BF was away so I kept myself busy by working all day Saturday, and then yesterday I wound up taking a ton stuff from the grooming shop I work at to sell at this boring ass church bazaar thing. We only made like 63 dollars and it was a pain to cart all this shit all over town. Luckily I had good company so it was ok

After that ended, I went home and cleaned my room because we were going to home depot to get our Christmas tree and I was getting shelves for my room. Unfortunately we didnt realize they were closed at 6! We will try again on Tuesday for the tree but I may go back today for my shelves if I decide not to hit the gym.

Why is it Monday?  WHYYYYY?

Nothing exciting happened for me this weekend, unless you count that I puked so hard yesterday morning that I busted all the blood vessels in my face.  It is not a cute look.

Oh!  My SS gift arrived this weekend!  That was probably the best part.  Can't wait for the big reveal.

I'm looking forward to hear about everyone's great weekends!

What an amazing weekend! It started off with an easy train ride into NYC on Friday morning. Then a Crossfit class, a little walk around the Upper West Side, and then my girlfriend and I headed out to our first show, Aladdin.

Saturday we went to a Pure Barre class (or as I will henceforth call it: Pure Hell). One of our friends also happened to be in NYC for the weekend, so we met up with her, her sister, and two of my college friends for lunch, then it was off to Finding Neverland with Mr. Shue from Glee.

Next, we headed off to the Rockefeller Tree. The crowds were RIDICULOUS, so we stayed long enough to take a couple selfies, and then got the heck out of there.



The Rockettes that night were AMAZING. I do not know how they can do those movements so precisely... it's insane!



Then on Sunday, I got to go to brunch with @swazzle, @Peaseblossom55 and @Hummingbird125. It's always awesome to be able to hug NEYers in person! The brunch mimosas were a little light on the champagne, but other than that, it was perfect Now it's back to reality BOOOOOOOOO

@swazzle your tree is perfect! We're getting ours when we get back next weekend.
@cocobellaf oh no! Hope it heals quickly.  My best friend was sick the entire time both of her pregnancies.  She found, oddly enough, that milk actually calmed her stomach.  Hopefully you can find something you can keep down.  She also chewed ginger gum (said it was better than the candies since the flavor didn't last long). 

I came home to my SS gift.  I loved it! There was even a gift for Callie, but it's already been destroyed.  That just means she loved it that much. 

This is most likely going to be a post and run, I have a gazillion things I have to do before I leave tonight.  

This weekend was nuts.  Since my bf is without a car he used mine for work, which left me stranded at home on Saturday.  I spent the entire day cleaning, organizing, and packing.  Yesterday I made my brother pick me up so I could get my school work done.  

Tonight we're heading to Philly.  Our flight is at 6:00am so we decided it was smarter to stay in the city rather than leave our house at 2:00am.  So my bf dropped me off at work and he's running all our errands, and dropping Callie off at my mom's.  I did have her there yesterday, but he didn't want to leave her since we were still home (would have made more sense).  Then he's picking me up and it's vacation time!  I'm excited but also bummed because the weather says it's supposed to rain the entire time.  

Oh and because I was car-less, my SS gift is going out today, but I'm going to overnight it since I'm such a slacker.

My weekend was pretty good, despite the fact that I had Friday off, it felt too short.  Friday I ran a ton of errands and then H & I saw  Mockingjay 2.  It was so good.  Then we got Moe's for dinner.

Saturday was pretty lazy. I stayed in did some cleaning around the house repotted one of my orchids and did a lot of reading.  I read The Circle over the weekend.  I finished it last night and was pretty disappointed with it.  Oh well.  Saturday H & I played some video games and watched some movies.

Sunday I did brunch with @hummingbird125 @swazzle & @cu97tiger It was so much fun and my crepes were so good.  It make the weekend so much more fun.  I came home and found H on the roof putting up Christmas lights.  I told him he didn't have to, we both aren't really in the Christmas spirit this year, but he did anyway.  They look so nice.  H had hockey last night, so I made myself some dinner. I also made some soup for my lunches this week and finished reading The Circle.

This weekend I open with A Christmas Carol, doing the show is going to be way harder on me than I expected.  So I hope this week goes by ok and goes by quickly.

I'm going to start a Christmas AW thread for everyone cause I have WAY too many photos to share today.

Friday evening H and I fixed the fan motor in the freezer because it was being super noisy. H bought a whole bunch of dry ice to keep everything cold while he worked but the motor replacement only took half an hour maybe so now we're stuck with a bunch of dry ice. Oh well....means more fun smoky pots everywhere!!

Saturday I ran/walked a 5k and my legs are SO SORE. But I'm glad I got it done. I need to start doing this more regularly....especially considering I'm running the Hot Chocolate 5k at the end of January. After my run I spent the rest of the day finishing my outdoor Christmas decorations while H mowed the lawn and did some other chores.

Sunday we both slept ridiculously late and I made an oven baked omelette for a late breakfast/early lunch. Then I spent the remainder of the day pruning my rose brushes and getting pricked in a million different places. I also did some winter yard clean up so everything looks soo much nicer now!

Hi! I am back from the trip. Had 3 days in New Mexico, then 3 days visiting my friend in Denver. OMG can I just tell you, she is my parenting goal and hero. Her 3 year old is the best ever, he would say please and thank you and sorry, and cuddle up to me on the couhc and tell me he loves me. She doesn't give him any kid food. So he requests hot tea and guacamole hahah. We went out to sushi and he was so eager to try each person's rolls and he loved them all. It was so great hanging out with them. But I'm so happy to be home in my bed with my husband!

@swazzle that tree is gorgeous. And I was not happy about the game last night haha

@cu97tiger glad you had such a nice time in NY! The crowds really are so insane around that time.

@peaseblossom55 There's something about putting up lights or a tree or something that really helps, I haven't been in much of a Christmas mood but putting my tree up kind of helped.

Tomorrow morning is my home inspection! I'm a little nervous, but kind of looking forward to walking around my future (hopefully) house with the inspector and asking a couple questions. Wish me luck for that!

Friday I put my Christmas tree up even though I've been dragging with the Christmas spirit so far. I did it a little halfass and didn't put all the ornaments on (usually I'm super anal about my tree and layer ornaments from inside to outside branches, and the garland must be evenly spaced, etc) but I think it still looks good. This year most the ornaments are only my favorites.



On Saturday BF came over and I gave him an early gift, a fox ornament. Foxes have kind of turned into our spirit animal. He was so excited about it, its his first ornament ever (he's Jewish). He promptly hung it on my tree. 



Sunday was a lazy day, I just watched tv, crocheted, and went up to Lowe's and Home Goods to wander for a bit. 

Oh, and my SS SHOULD get her gift today via USPS!

@wink0erin Fingers crossed your inspection goes well! I loved our inspector. He took lots of pictures and gave us a really comprehensive list of issues big and small and it's really guided our home repair and maintenance process over the last 2 years.

Monday....boooo!!! We had a great weekend so I guess I shouldn't be complaining. Friday I met my BFF for a drink after work. She has been a little stressed and we haven't had much time to spend together. We committed to going to the gym 3 times a week this month which is going to be tough with everything going on, but I'm hoping it will help keep me from gaining weight at least! Then I met H for dinner...and I ate fried mac and cheese balls from the Cheesecake Factory. Hence why I need to get my ass to the gym.
Saturday I went shopping with my mom which was lots of fun, then H and I put up our outdoor lights. We have these adorable twinkling snowflakes hanging from our tree that I just love. I wish I had a picture!
Sunday I finished decorating the tree and the rest of the inside of our house. It's so nice to have it all done.
This week we are doing a secret santa gift exchange at work which should be fun, and Friday is my free "shopping day"!

@CocoBellaF - Oh no, I hope your poor face heals soon! That sounds terrible.

I swear, I feel like I've been going since Friday!
So Friday evening I got home and hopping the shower while Matt did dishes and got dressed. Friend of mine was coming over because I was doing her makeup for her xmas party. I changed 4x and found that 2 dresses should get tossed to donation pile *sigh*

The party was interesting. It was at an art gallery. We originally weren't going to go but then one of Matt's coworkers we're kinda friends with said they were going and we hadn't seen them since the wedding, so we went. Didn't win any prizes, food was delish even if it was just snacky stuff. Art is expensive!

Saturday I went to the mall with my mum. She had xmas stuff to buy and I was hunting for xmas party outfit or something. Got 2 skirts from Zara that will be cute later.

Sunday pretty low key. Did some groceries to get the good deals of xmas buffet food.

This morning was rough though. I think something was running through Angel's system, because once again he had a bit of diarrhea so he stinks. 5am he wanted food. I ended up feeding him, cleaning the floor from where he pooped and tried to go back to bed. Did not work, so cleaned a bit of his bum {sticks to his fur, hence the smell} and got ready.
I made an appt with a groomer to get his bum shaved, and after holidays I may have to make an appt with a vet for a check up.

H and I had such a great weekend! On Friday we hung out with a couple of friends at our place. It was really low key, and we just sat around talking for a few hours. I was in bed by midnight, and it was glorious. Oh! Also, on Friday, I dropped by the leasing office and saw that my SS gift had been delivered. I thanked her privately, and I can't wait to reveal everything next week because she seriously knocked it out of the park. Her gift was amazing!

On Saturday I watched A Christmas Story, and then we took Zoey to visit with her foster parents and all of her old friends to try and get her to remember that she likes other people and dogs. She had a ton of fun and slept really well the rest of the day. Later that night H and I went to one of the local malls to meet up with my trainer and her family for our annual holiday visit to the Christmas train display and then dinner after. We were home by 9pm, so I watched The Santa Clause with H and Zoey, and we were all asleep by midnight again.

On Sunday we went to visit one of our best friends so Zoey could interact with him and his dog. Zoey and the other dog got along REALLY well, and she behaved like an angel the entire time we were there. We even crated her while we left for lunch, and she didn't freak out or anything. H and I were so proud of her. However, as soon as we got home, she started acting like a little asshole. I guess she's mad at us for taking her away from her friend. She peed twice on the rug (while looking at me!), and she cried non-stop until we went to bed. It was very out of character for her. I could also tell she was fighting sleep pretty hard. As soon as we went to bed, she stopped crying, so at least she slept through the night.

This morning Zoey was still being super whiny and clingy, but H said that he checked the webcam just now, and she was finally sleeping. Let's hope that continues! We discovered Friday that Zoey's separation anxiety is eased quite a bit by NPR, so we're hoping it works again today.

This week's goal is for all three of us to really get used to our new routine. Last week was the adjustment and experimental phase, and this week we're going to really embrace the routine. So, for example, I'm actually going to cook this week and not accidentally skip a bunch of meals like I did last week. I'm also going to force myself into the gym at 6:30am every day. Zoey's going to remember that she likes her crate and NPR (lol!), and she's also going to remember that she was 90% potty trained last week. H and I won't neglect our normal chores this week either. It's all gonna be awesome, I tell ya.

My weekend was half super good and half super lame.

On Friday night, something reminded my BF of Kindergarten Cop, and since I had never seen it he paid the ridiculous fee to rent it on our Xbox so I could watch it IMMEDIATELY. . . It was a hilarious movie, and I'm very glad he made me see it, haha.

Saturday was rainy, but we went to Barnes and Noble to find some gifts for my dad, then had lunch out. When we got home I took the dog for a long walk in the rain and then took him to the pet store to get his picture taken with Santa! I even bought him a sweater because I know my mom will absolutely love if he wears one on Christmas. It totally makes it obvious he needs to lose some weight though, haha. I sometimes pretend I don't treat my dog like my child, but I totally do.

Yesterday we went to get our Christmas tree, which wasn't fun because BF just kept talking about how we don't need a tree since we won't even be home on Christmas. I think he's a Grinch and his lack of Christmas spirit sucks. So my buzz was already wounded, and then THE FIRST ornament I put on the tree (one of my favorites, and a souvenir from our Arizona trip) immediately fell off and shattered. Shortly after, we noticed that our dishwasher didn't drain after its last run, so BF had to spend the night working on getting that fixed (which I think he did?) but his mood was a bummer and I just couldn't get into my typical decorating excitement. Good morning everyone! Let's just get through this Monday as fast as possible.

I am kind of sad this morning (pats lost) and I'm sure @swazzle is thrilled that the eagles won. I won't be a bad sport though. 

My weekend was very busy. Food shopping, a memorial for my H's step mom and a baby shower for a co-worker. Yes, that was all on Saturday. Sunday was cleaning, lying down (sinus headache) and football and dinner. I feel like I am so not ready for this week- but too bad so sad for me!

Gotta run- but I will def check back later!

@AlPacina We actually had to stop giving her treats for peeing outside because she's started trying to trick us. She'll just squat for a few seconds and make it look like she peed so she can get the treats. She's a very smart dog. Instead we just praise her like crazy and rub her belly and stuff, which is her favorite thing ever. I'm sorry to hear your favorite ornament broke. I would be very upset too, especially if your BF was already being a buzzkill. I hope tonight you're able to get into the spirit again. Watching Elf or Christmas Vacation always helps me with that. PS: That picture with Santa is the cutest thing ever. I LOVE the sweater!

This is a post and run for now, I'm sorry.  I'm swamped at work trying to catch up.  Plus Raj's surgery is tomorrow so I'm going to try to leave a little early to spend some quality time with the monster.  Not only was I unable to work on my existing deals I had while at the seminar (I got back at 10 pm Saturday) but I got a new deal while I was out and it is a huge one.  Good times.

I got my SS present and it did not have any identifiable information on who it was from.  I took a guess and sent the person I thought it was a PM.  If I'm wrong, I have one other guess.    It was a WONDERFUL gift and I love it.  When are we AWing gifts?

My SS present is STILL on its way to its recipient.  I've called and yelled at FedEx three times already and they promise it will arrive on Tuesday now.  I'm pissed about it but they are holding my SS's package hostage so can't get too pissed at them or it might mysteriously disappear.  

Just wanted to say "hi". I'll try to post more later today and catch up with everyone.

@eilis1228 My ex's puppy used to do the squat for treats thing too when I was potty training her. I started watching closely to make sure pee happened, hahaha! I sometimes wonder if she ever learned to pee outside.

@wink0erin @eilis1228 Cinders ALSO used to do the squat and pretend to pee "trick". She was always too smart for her own good. It honestly took a LONG time to get her to stop tinkling in the house (I think she still had the occasional accident up through 10 months). We never were able to figure out what her deal was. She had a routine and a schedule but sometimes it was as if she completely forgot herself.
