Honeymoon help!

I am trying to look around at places for honeymoons! I have seen several all inclusive resorts however I cannot find the website for booking and pricing.

Where did you go on your honeymoon? (or planning to go)

How much and how did you book it?

Thank you so so much for the help!! I really appreciate any feedback!

If you google the name of the resort you have heard about, most of those resorts will have booking engines on them that show room type and pricing.

You are going to get a VERY, VERY wide range of answers from people on here on where they HMed and how they booked it. Some of the answers may not work for your situation at all. Some things to share with us to get better guidance:

    - Budget

    - Where traveling from?

    - When traveling?

    - For how long do you want to go?

    - What type of HM do you want?

    - Things you like to do

    - things that we should know (example- don't want to get a passport)

That being said, for my first HM, I went to Tahiti, Taha'a and Bora Bora in French Polynesia. I booked through a Tahiti Specialist travel agency. It was about $15K and spent another $5K or so on our domestic flights and stuff while there.

When I remarried, we went to Australia. We also married in Australia, so I booked my wedding and HM all in one trip on my own. However, I travel extensively and know the ins and outs of things. Our trip was over $30K, with the wedding package being about $6.5K of that.

It sounds like you would best be served by a human travel agent- one that can ask you questions, provide ideas, provide pricing, and then provide support to you throughout your planning and your trip.

My fiance and I just had to cancel our original honeymoon plan (a roadtrip across country and back) due to inability to get enough time off, but I think we are still trying to figure out if we can just do a shorter version. We're both poor students, and did not feel we could afford a bigger trip at this point (once we knock out some student loans down the road, though, we def. plan on a future anniversary trip to Europe). The plan is to rent a car and travel, hitting a few campsites along the way and then treating ourselves to a fancy hotel for a night or two. The goal is to keep it all under $1000.

  • We went to the island of Antigua for our honeymoon. It was AMAZING and I highly, highly, highly recommend it. I actually found an amazing deal on LuxuryLink.com and saved over 50% on the actual AI resort's website price. We traveled for 10 days, and I believe it came in under $5k total for everything for both of us. Let me know if you want more info on where we stayed. Good luck!
