dj review -- top notch productions in new rochelle

Hello ladies! I am researching djs and came across Top Notch Productions who I am pretty close to signing with. My fiancee has some concerns though -- they didn't have a video to show us unlike the other entertainment companies, which makes him question how legit they are. Has anyone booked or heard of this company?Any info would be soooo helpful! Thanks,Karina

I think it's sketchy if they don't have anything to show you since obviously when you are booking entertainment you want to make sure it suits you and the tone you want to set for your wedding.I'm doing everything through EJtheDJ. They are awesome and they work with you from start to finish. They also sent me tons of demos to show me examples from other weddings and parties. I'm getting a package through them that includes lighting, a seperate system for my cocktail hr, a dj & mc, and a light up dj booth so it looks nice during the reception :)

I don't think *every* DJ has video of his/her performance.  I'm using a fairly known DJ in NYC, of which many other knotties have used, and to the best of my knowledge, there are no videos and they come highly recommended every time.  If your fiance is concerned, then ask for referrals from the last few events they've done.  I did that and got great feedback from very recent brides/grooms. Also, ask if your DJ will be djing anywhere to see how they operate - I recently got an email from my DJ to check her out at a venue. Trust me, there are just as many companies with videos and they don't turn out well - each situation is different.  GL.

Videos are always edited with effects see the DJ of the company live at a performance. We me michael of east end entertainment, www.eastende.com and saw him perform in the hamptons at a couple of events. He's very knowledgeable and a great listener. Be sure the dj's name is on the contract. good luck

I've seen Top Notch perform at two bridal shows (Surf Club and Marriott Marquee NYC).  I wasn't impressed with their MCing myself, but they did ge the crowd going with the music.  You should check them out at bridal shows.
