CAN'T HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT TOO...CREST HOLLOW

Hi Ladies,As some of you might know I've been looking for a venue that will accommodate Kosher food but not at a temple and my dream would be to get married by the water, or a beautiful Pond in the background.  Well I looked at two places yesterday one being Crest hollow, they actually do have a Kosher Kitchen in house and are pretty reasonable with the rates.  But my dream of getting married by the water is gone...can't have it all.  Has anyone been to a wedding at Crest Hollow that can share their input for food, ceremony, ballrooms?   It has some pretty grounds but I'm not crazy about the ceremony place, seems very plain and the color they have in every room which is burgundy, if I chose to go with a Pink color for napkins...Thanks,Marina

its eh-to me nothing special. ive been to tons of things there over the years and, while it has improved, it still seems kinds of blah. did you contact the harbor club? thatched cottage? coindre hall? vanderbilt in centerport?

My best friend got married at Crest Hollow 3 years ago. She is also Jewish and did not want to get married at a temple. The ceremony was beautiful, and all of her pictures came out great! The cocktail hour was by the pool, and that was also a really nice touch. They had the big room upstairs, they had approximately 215 people. She had toole with white lights draped across the ceiling, and that really dressed the room up. The food was really good, they had the Kosher-style, but did also need to order a few Kosher meals, and I heard that they were really good as well. Overall it was a great day and one of the nicest weddings I have ever been to. If you like everything else, I wouldn't let the burgandy sway you... good luck!
