Cashman photography

Has anyone had any experience with Cashman photography in Vegas?
I would like to hear any stories, good or bad, as I am booked with them next year (no choice in the matter).

Cashman, good, bad and ugly.  Well there's not a lot of good, but mostly mediocre.  The primary issues are Cashman has negotiated monopolies with the properties they operate at, so those properties will not permit you to use any other photo vendor.  The photos are usually described as run of the mill staged wedding photos, which is why I say mediocre instead of good.  There have been random reports of good mixed in there, it's just not the norm.  The photographers tend to be assigned to a specific property, so you may be able to read online reviews for your chosen venue and find a specific photographer with positive reviews, then request them for your wedding day. These requests may or may not be honored.

Now, where it gets bad is the pricing.  They charge a LOT for photos, and by default, you only get prints for the base price, and who wants prints these days when you can get digitals and have the prints made yourself as needed.

Where it gets ugly is the digital rights and/or extended photo sessions.  Digital rights, i.e. a CD with all of your photos, can potentially be $1000-$2000 or even higher depending on picture count and venue.  However, they often contact you six months out if you never purchased it and offer it at a reduced rate, so that's one option.  Extended sessions, like doing an extra 30 to 60 minutes, can often involve very high charges.
