Wedding dress alterations

Looking for information on someone to do alterations on my wedding dress in Champaign Urbana Il. or within a reasonable driving distance. Does anyone have any suggestions excluding bridal shops?

Most bridal shops won't touch a dress unless they sold it.  Your best bet may be to call a sewing machine dealer (Pfaff) and ask if they know someone who does alterations that's good with formalwear.  A lot really depends on the work that needs to be done, you really may be better off financially to use the seamstress at the bridal shop at the end of the day.
