Celebrity deaths don't usually concern me much, but I am sad to see him go.  I quite enjoyed him as an actor, so it's sad that there won't be any more movies for him

I am heartbroken over this.  He was a true talent who I feel was slightly underrated.  He will forever be Professor Snape.

Agreed. He's such a talent and a good guy. Your heartthrob actors are a dime a dozen but he is unique.

There have been so many cancer deaths in the media lately. This one got me the most. I'm sitting at the hospital right now waiting for my PET scan, so hearing about this (along with some others) has rattled me a bit. I'll be out on disability for a bit next month, so I will surely be indulging in my Harry Potter DVD set.

Fuck cancer.

Did they make you drink the contrast milkshake?  Yuck!  My new facility doesn't require that anymore, and it makes it so much easier!  Hope you have a great outcome!

So many cancer deaths this week- David Bowie, Alan, Rene Angelil (Celine Dion's husband). 

Alan Rickman was particularly upsetting for me. What a fine actor- a true actor. Very few in his league. And no one with that voice!

I grew up with Severus Snape. But I also loved him in Sense and Sensibility and Love Actually.

I've never had the contrast milkshake. I always get injected with radioactive sugar via IV. Fun times!

Good news- lymphoma free again! I wish I could say cancer free, but I know I'll be able to say that in a month!!

I was so, so sad to hear about Alan Rickman. What a shock. Celebrity deaths don't normally hit me to my core (or at all, really), but one of my friends summed it up perfectly- "It feels as though I've lost a friend."
