Bonnaroo?

With the lineup being "leaked" early and tickets going on sale this week, FI and I are considering going this year, but have never been before.

I tried putting my feelers out on FB, but as I had suspected it doesn't seem like any of my friends have ever been either. I tried doing a little online sleuthing, but these boards are always insightful on just about everything,so I thought I might try here.  Has anyone ever been? If so, what was your experience like? Did you camp? GA vs VIP, is it worth it?

Any info/insight is appreciated!

I haven't, but my sister has s bunch of times. She camped, stayed the whole time, and did GA. She loved it and whenever lineups are released always talks about going back. I'm a little jealous I never went with her.

I went to coachella the year I graduated high school, camped, and enjoyed it. As I have gotten older though my tolerance for lines, crowds, and drunk people has gone down so I didn't enjoy the last 2 festivals I went to, even though they were local and I was able to go home each night.

@charlotte989875 I've been reading that you definitely want to camp, so if we go I think that's the way we'll do it. Thank you for the info!

@ThxSugar That's really my biggest worry, the amount of other people. Then again, the people watching could be amazing! The appeal of the VIP camping is that in theory, the lines would be shorter, the crowds would be thinner in the restroom/lounge/none music areas, and better amenities. I used to go to a lot of local festivals where I could go home and they weren't so bad, but this is a completely different beast for me. Thanks for the insight!
