Thursday - whining inside

I woke up with a nasty cold and one flu-like symptom.

DD2 woke up with extremely red eyes and lids with lots of crust.  Joy.  I'll be calling the doctor when they open in a half hour.

Today is cleaning day and I predict that not much of it will get done.  Except anything DD2 touched.  And her bedding is already in the wash.

I'm hoping prudie will make me feel better.

I am tired as all get out today. I went to the gym last night after work and that shocked my system or something. I'm trying to get right and tight for my spring break trip to the Bahamas.

Tell these people over here stop tempting me.

Today is my Friday.  Whee! 

I have a hair appt first thing tomorrow and I'm contemplating getting a massage.  Maybe a pedicure too.  

Yesterday/last night was a long one for many reasons.  I hope today is better.  

I was pulled for a project yesterday.  The change of pace is nice.

I called in sick yesterday and slept all day.

Wooz dragged her feet something fierce this morning, we had to run for the bus.  This is becoming the norm, and I'm not having it.  From now on, if she's not dressed and ready by 6:25, no iPad that afternoon.  Her alarm goes off at 6:00, and she picks out her outfit the night before.  Because the bus comes at 6:30, she eats breakfast at school so she doesn't have to get up any earlier than she already does.  All she has to do is get dressed, brush her hair, and brush her teeth.  (And feed her fish, which takes 10 seconds.)  There is no way 25 minutes isn't enough for all that.  I'm fed up.

In other news, we're under a winter storm warning, so I'm sure everyone is going to lose their minds.  I normally pick up groceries on Fridays, but I'll have to do it on the way home from swim tonight, which means I have to order them now-ish.  Not going to lie:  I wouldn't mind a snow day tomorrow.  DH and I are taking our laptops home, so we can WFH if necessary.  I was going to run to Costco at lunch today (well, yesterday, until I called in), but now I won't go within a half mile of that place.

I woke up thinking that today was Friday. Talk about the ultimate disappointment.

We ended up getting sent home from work early because of an ice storm so now I'm all spoiled and I think there should be a reason every day to leave early.

Today is my Friday. I'm WFH right now (early call), but going into the office in a bit. I have PT at lunch. 

Tomorrow I have a 90 minute massage scheduled, and may also get a pedi. 
No big plans for the weekend.

Ugh, I just want this week to be over. Just too much going on at work, not enough time, and I don't want to deal with any of it. It's not helping that I'm grumbly about some first world problems.

I have a friend who is a massage therapist who told me I needed a massage and not to argue.  So, i'm getting a massage tonight.  I'm really looking forward to it.  I've also got to finish a book for a book club tomorrow night.  I'm ready for the weekend.

The pace is finally picking up at work - Yay!   I work tomorrow but will flex out early at 2:30.

This weekend we have a birthday party for DH's sister on Saturday and a church function on Sunday.  The weather is supposed to be nice (20s and maybe a 30!) so no worries there.

Well I was having a good day.. then it all changed.

After being ignored for a month, IT has finally gotten back to me saying that they will not replace my desktop printer and that I need to start using the communal one. That one sucks and for how much printing I do, I just want my own.

My mom was in charge of vendors for an event over the weekend. Well today she started getting in the surveys that the vendors do after the event. ONE lady pretty much said that my mom is incompetent and shouldn't do this again, while they other 179 vendors said my mom did a great job. I told mom to tell the bitch to suck it and get off her high horse. She was a pain the ass since the beginning. (I'm kind of protective of my mom, can't you tell?)

FI and I are finally going to see Star Wars tomorrow. I've done enough waiting to go see it.

@6fsn I'm sorry for your loss, that's terrible.

Totally FWP here, but I'm annoyed we had a delayed start at the university I teach at. My students were tired (read:hungover) and didn't want to be there. We closed early yesterday and probably will close tomorrow. Half my class didn't show up so it just feels like a wasted day.

I'm just jealous because Hs classes were cancelled and when I left he was playing with the pup in the snow.

Today is the day both my kids are in daycare. I teach most Thursday mornings, but had today off. I'm about to go to barre, then I have to stop by the house and take some measurements so I can start buying furniture. 

The house we're living in now is a complete shithole, and I've lost all motivation to keep it clean. The washing machine is broken, so between the piles of dirty laundry, the clean laundry that I can't bring myself to fold, and the socks that my children refuse to keep on their feet scattered everyfuckingwhere, I just want to burn it all down and start fresh at the new place.

@TheDuckis I completely understand. Our dryer was broken for a couple weeks. It is just the two of us and I was about to lose my shit.

I have my riding lesson tonight and fortunately it is not freezing.
I am excited for this weekend b/c the house stated reasonably clean and can be dealt with on Sunday while watching football. Saturday, FI and I are going shopping. He wants an electric guitar and I convinced him to check out some local shops instead of going to guitar center. That means exploring the city a little bit. We have lived here for 18ish months but in the 'burbs. I do as much in the city as I can but he rarely does since his job is in the opposite direction.
