@southernpeach89 - I'm actually RLOLing at "which is tall for a woman my age." My age?? You crack me up. Also, just because it's fun, I was 21.5 inches long when I was born and was off the percentile charts my entire childhood, and I ended up at 5-9. My maternal grandfather's side of the family has all the height, and I'm the only one in the family who got it. ::hairtoss::

@cocobellaF - I really hope you start to feel better soon!! 

@untouchablets - That sweater. I cannot. I bought Vi & Bruschi winter coats before we went to Maine for Christmas, but they're both chunks and they didn't fit haha. 

@jenna8984 - Rouxs always make me so nervous! I have made them several times, but I'm always afraid I'm going to screw it up. Nothing gives me more kitchen anxiety.

@minskat30 - I love your dinner! Although, I agree with @labro that you should have had frosting instead  

As for me, my HC box was there when I got home, but everything was completely frozen solid. I was going to make the salmon as well, but we ordered pizza instead. Darn. 

I got a call from the jewelry store H & I went to about my ring, and they got the rose gold bands in that I liked. So we have to go over there and pick which one I want. I'm going to get one like this, but only halfway around, and they're going to sauter this to my e-ring so that it doesn't spin & scratch more:


So it will look similar to this on my hand (except my current wedding band is thicker than this, and I obviously have an oval e-ring)


I'll OBVIOUSLY show you pictures when it's all together!

It's really fucking irritating to see someone complain that a "popular poster" from NEY tried to run her "out of dodge" when she posted here one time last year when that never even happened.

You made a rude assholish comment and got called out for it, it happened more than 2 years ago, you have since posted here (less than 2 weeks ago, actually) and you were nothing but welcomed when you did. JFC.

@swazzle - I saw that and rolled my eyes so hard I'm surprised they didn't stay there.  Just another example of "everyone is bashing on NEY, let me join and be part of the "popular" group/topic."  Trying WAY to hard.  I love that everyone on here has different opinions, expresses them in a mature way most of the time and no one tries to adjust their opinions to "fit in" with the topic at hand.

@GoldenPenguin Haha I guess I should say my age group, not implying that I'm old or anything. I think Callie is definitely going to be tall; I was always the tall girl in class up until high school and everyone caught up. I want to say I was around the same height as her too when I was born.

Good morning. Last night H and I made grilled cheese/soup for dinner and watched American Idol. Riveting stuff, I know. I also made one of the craft projects I've been meaning to make. It's from the monthly subscription I get. It's a little desk calendar and I think it turned out pretty cute! I've decided I need more pretty things on my desk anyway.



Also, I have a busy day at work ahead but I'm definitely going to post pics in the SF thread. I'm really conflicted about this box. I think I like pretty much everything, but I need your opinions!

@swazzle - Your dinners always sound so good. Be careful if you decide to drive. I know people here in TX always freak out whenever there's even a little ice. Usually the whole city shuts down for the day. I can't imagine what would happen if it actually snowed here.
@southernpeach89 - YUM! Lasagna FTW.
@cu97tiger - Apparently we are on the same page about lasagna
@caseface5 - Keep at it. Slower weight loss is the way to go. I think people say you are more likely to keep it off!

@cu97tiger I bought a snow shovel and a regular shovel (for breaking up ice) the other day... but totally forgot about snow pants. I should probably get a pair, along with a decent pair of boots. 
@caseface5 Ugh, wtf? You would think that making sure athletes have access to the gym would be allowed. Exercising and stretching would help keep them from getting injured, wouldn't it?

@wink0erin I know. You would think that would be allowed. Thing is, some teams took advantage of it, and created their routines before the season began. I didn't want to do that, I want to get them in the gym and work on jumps, tumbling and not getting tight, but I am not allowed to. It makes me an angry coach!

I just don't get the bashing. I mean crap, when I originally came here several years ago I had some BSC thoughts and NEY talked me down and brought me back to earth. It worked. I had ideas about etiquette that lurking on E made me realize weren't correct. The good part about TK is that posters don't blow smoke up each other's asses and people will call others out on bad ideas. 

I really do want to make a "HEY LURKERS, SUP" post with a list of questions. Important things like favorite wine and how many cats do you have.

@wink0erin No lies...I don't care for a lurker thread. It will certainly bring the randoms out of the woodwork (yay new people!) but then it'll just die down and those people won't be back. I guess I'm a pessimist.

I'm feeling very blah today. H and I kept bickering this morning over small things, and Zoey was a handful too. The weather is so gross... high in the 40s with rain all day. We took Zoe Boe to doggie day camp so she can run around and play all day and wear her little butt out. Since we can't take her to dog park on days like this, we figure doggie day camp is the best way to wear her out. H said she cried a lot when she saw me leave for work and she insisted on riding to doggie day camp in his lap in the car, but as soon as they got there and she realized where she was, she was ready for him to leave. LOL

Last night we made hamburger helper for dinner (we were so lazy lol), and then we got mostly caught up on Modern Family. I meant to finish up two scarves I've been knitting, but I ended up playing/snuggling with Zoey all night instead. So, tonight will consist of working out, picking up Zoey, actually cooking a decent dinner, and finishing the scarves. 

Also, I learned the other day that I will be inheriting some money from my grandparents' estate. I have no idea how much it will be since it will depend on what their house and furniture sell for, but apparently I'm listed as a beneficiary. I doubt it will be a ton of money since my late father's portion will be split among me and my 3 brothers, but a windfall like this is a nice surprise regardless. H wants to be boring and responsible and put it all towards my student loans, which is the smart thing to do. However, I've got crazy wanderlust right now and am dying to book another big vacation. Hmmmm decisions, decisions...

Why can't today be Friday?

@wink0erin here's the recipe I used. Only adjustment was that I felt the meatballs weren't cooking all the way through in the skillet so I popped them in oven for 10 minutes during the roux/sauce making part. Definitely glad I did that.
