Wedding Invitations & Paper

Printing at Office Depot/Fedex/Staples

Hello! I've just finished our invitations in photoshop and I'm making myself crazy figuring out how to print them. I'd like to do 2 per page, but I can't figure out how we're going to cut them correctly! We're using Cards of Wood sheets & the invitation design is very simple black and white. If you had your invitations printed at a copy shop, how did you figure out the spacing? Am I making this way too complicated?

Re: Printing at Office Depot/Fedex/Staples

  • We didn't have invitations printed but had menu cards printed at Staples. They were done two to a page. The template that was used had markings to show where cuts were to be made. Staples cut them - it was like $4/100 cuts. I felt it was well worth the money to make sure the cuts were done correctly (MOB here).
  • Office Depot is great. I paid $0.80 to have them cut 25 sheets of cardstock. You'd have to pay for printing too, of course. I would just go in and talk to them, they have computers where you can pull up your design and discuss it with them.

  • Thank you guys! I'll take my file in and get their advice.
  • FedEx will do the cutting for you, but I think they'll charge you per cut..I think $4. Mine was similar to what @ILoveBeachMusic had to say. The cut marks were on the page and they just cut based on that. I didn't do my invitations there but I did print all my menu cards, escort cards, programs, etc. It was WELL worth it. I had started cutting them myself a few at a time using what they have available for free and it would've taken hours!
