@eilis1228 - I'm REALLY excited to see your hair cut.  I don't know that I could pull of an asymetrical bob but I think you can.  I also love that you are donating your hair to Locks of Love. 

@GoldenPenguin - I know my opinion on this isn't the "norm" but I don't like strip clubs.  I just don't get it most of the time I guess.  I specifically don't get why its a ritual before marriage...actually THAT seems insulting to me.  I hate the "I'm going to be stuck with this woman for life so let me go oogley someone else's boobs" mentality. I'm not insecure with my body nor do I feel like H is going to cheat on me...I just don't like it.  I'm glad you had a good talk with your H.  

@cocobellaf - I hope you are feeling better in March.  You better be feeling better by then or I'm going to have to have a word with that baby wrecking havoc in your womb.

@minskat30 I have no idea if I can pull it off, but I figure if it doesn't work, I'll just cut it all to an even length again. Easy peasy. My hair stylist was the one who came up with the idea-- I never would have thought of that myself. This will be the second time I've donated my hair. Last time, about 5 years ago, I didn't have as much to donate, so I had to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. Since then they've gotten stricter on their requirements for hair donations. Luckily my hair is so long I'm starting to resemble Cousin It, so I can donate to Locks of Love this time around.

@wink0erin hahahaha that made me think of the scene in Friends when Rachel is describing a coworker's botched boob job... can't find a gif, of course.

Busy busy morning! Ironically, I have a birthday lunch for a co-worker today and this morning they decided to go to Ruth's Chris! Time for attempt number 2 at some really delicious steak!

I'm thankful that H and I have jobs that pay well enough that the federal government apparently thinks we need to be taxed like rich people. We aren't rich....but I'm still thankful for the paycheck.

I'm thankful we're able to save so much for our retirement right now. It probably won't always be this way, but I'm glad we're making a huge effort now when it can really count years down the road.

I'm thankful I get to take a weekend getaway to Florida next week to celebrate my great-uncle's 80th birthday. I love my great aunt and uncle like another set of grandparents and I'm so glad we get to spend some quality time with them!

I'm so so so thankful for NEY! I love all you ladies SO MUCH! I don't know what I'd do without all my Internet and now IRL friends! I love that we're such a supporting community and that we can have fun and create ridiculous gifs together. Don't ever change NEY!

@GoldenPenguin – BF threw out a “Oh, I don’t know if I told you this, but we went to a strip club for SoAndSo’s birthday, and (continues story)……” while in the middle of a conversation with friends. I saw him when he got home from that night and all he said was they hit up a few bars. I was annoyed more than mad, but I never gave him crap for it because now when he starts stories I always go “Is this from ANOTHER time you went to a strip club?” which is fun for me. At least he told you at the time of! Your H sounds like an absolute sweetie pie.

@speakeasy14 – That is a ridiculously specific request for a cake, and I think you should be able to make what you want! But I don't know your sister, haha.

@wink0erin – As far as I was concerned, if BF just wanted to cuddle he could come over whenever. But if he was going to wake me up and try to "get some" then I’d rather just continue sleeping, haha.

@minskat30 – I’m thankful for you too! And I’m incredibly thankful that you’re being so helpful with the G2G!

@eilis1228 – You are so awesome for donating your hair. I think that hairstyle will be adorable!

I am thankful for:

- My hair stylist, who still has yet to mess up my hair style once.

- Ice cream. I think this one speaks for itself.

- The usual: family, BF, house, dog, health, etc. But today I'm particularly thankful for my hair stylist and ice cream.

@eilis1228 can't wait to see your haircut!  She wants the cake to be only Pooh.  I've found a bunch of cake molds so I think I'm going to use them to make the cake.  Worst case scenario I'll make a winnie the pooh cake, and then a honey pot pull apart cupcake cake. *flavor -- 1/2 vanilla 1/2 chocolate with a buttercream frosting. If I do the honeypot than I'm going to make a honey buttercream.

@eilis1228 I'm surprised you're able to donate.  When I had researched  everything I found said you can't have had any chemical processes done to your hair.

@speakeasy14 Locks of Love allows for chemically treated hair, just no bleach. I was really surprised to find that because 5 years ago they were super strict on the hair they accepted, but Pantene's Beautiful Lengths was super lax. It looks like the reverse is true now. LoL has a minimum of 10 inches now, but it used to be 13! They'll even accept permed hair now.

@eilis1228 - I really don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but some of the things I've heard about Locks of Love would make me shy away from donating to them and researching some other organizations. @GoldenPenguin I've heard mixed reviews on LoL too. I only knew of Beautiful Lengths and LoL, not the others. It looks like Children With Hair Loss accepts chemically treated hair, so I'll likely donate to them instead. Thank you for the link!

@eilis1228 I was going to make similar comments about LoL....so I'm REALLY glad you found another place to donate to! I knew LoL wasn't the only one out there accepting chemically treated hair but I was too lazy to do the research. Thank goodness we have @GoldenPenguin to set us all straight!

@labro Agreed! I'm really glad @GoldenPenguin posted it too. I just want to donate my hair to a decent organization that will accept it. I understand why some organizations are very stringent on the requirements for donation, but I can't imagine they are flush with donations all the time. I'm glad there was another organization out there that would accept my healthy-but-dyed hair.

@misskittydanger - My DH has a name that could be a shortened form of a man or woman's name. So sometimes callers assume I'm him, and other times they assume his name is the longer form of the man's name. Half my family calls him that, even though they are friends with him on facebook and can clearly see that that is NOT his name. Love the siggy gif.

This morning I had to bring Tessie to the vet. She has been limping since Monday and we thought she just overworked her paws on Sunday, but it wasn't going away. They put her on pain meds and we are to closely monitor her for a week and if she doesn't stop limping they want to do an x-ray. I hope my baby is okay! My big 77 pound baby!!

Last night was a gigantic stress ball. We went into the meeting thinking the decision was already made and the tone of the meeting was telling us the same thing. Turns out that they voted 5/1 to stay Pop Warner so I will have my team back in the fall. As much as that makes me happy, we also got an email from the president that "our actions last night not only didn't help our cause, but rather hurt it and they will not be tolerated." We have been asked to the next meeting to be spoken to about our actions. I feel like I am being sent to the damn principal's office. I also don't know what actions he is referring to. Our emotions came into play full force, but there was no actions taken. We didn't make a scene or anything, so I am confused. I have to write down my feelings to bring to the next meeting.

Things I am thankful for:
- Tessie should be okay and hopefully pain meds will help her to get back to her normal self.
- I have Pop Warner program to come back to and don't have to lose my girls just yet.
- After not following too closely to WW this week and not exercising because of being sick, I am still down 1.5 pounds and closer to my first mini goal! I want to lose 4.5 pounds before Chicago and it looks totally doable.
- I am thankful for BF and being supportive of me through this emotional rollercoaster of a week. He doesn't exactly love cheer and how much time and money I put into it, but he supports me doing something I love and I can't be more thankful for that.
- A new boss that is coming in soon who should be changing the dynamics of the office for the better. There is also talk of a possible raise and I need it so I'm hoping that comes to fruition.

Thanks @labro. I was really happy with how the vet looked at her and communicated with me. She wasn't doing much limping in the office, and he noted that she was excited and she most likely wouldn't. He also said even though she might be hurting, she might not let is show when we touch her, because she is just happy to be touched at all. He told me what to look for so I felt really comfortable leaving today. Hopefully the meds work!

@caseface5 That sounds like a shit show. My initial reaction is that the president is pissed you did anything to try to keep the program the way it is. What a load of drama, either way. I'm glad you get to keep your team the way it is.
