I know I'm a little late to the party, but I just spent my Saturday night drinking wine and reading through this post (and laughing my ass off, because y'all are amazing)...so yeah.

I am 29 years old.  My mother started teaching me to cook and clean up after myself starting when I was about 5.  And it was just this past Tuesday that I realized that it is a lot easier to wash a dish that has had cheese in it if one does not use water that is so hot it is literally melting the cheese left in the dish.  I ruined a brand-new sponge before I figured that one out.
