Budget Wedding Venues

Hello all!
I'm new to the site and to being engaged! I've been engaged for one week today!

My fiance and I have been looking at venues for July 2012. We wanted to stick to a smaller budget and I wanted to know if any of you have any suggetions for a reception hall. We live in Suffolk County but we are willing to go to Nassau for the reception.
We wanted to stay in the $60-$90 pp range. Because our families are big we are inviting about 175 people (expecting about 150 to actually come). So we know it might be hard to find a place big enough but with a small pricetag

As a sidenote: we are looking for a place that is classic and `crisp`. We don't think things to be too flashy and we want a place that will be beautiful and not overdone (we really hate mirrors on everything! haha )

Does anyone have any suggetions on where to look for the venue? Thanks!!! Laughing

Hello, congrats on your engagement!!  If you're looking for something in the lower price range I would try the Brentwood Country Club.  My SIL got married there and I believe they offer a package deal with photography and flowers and DJ as well.  I'm getting married at Chateau La Mer in Lindenhurst and and paying $75PP for a Friday night wedding in May.  This place is nicer than the country club and it's located right on the water.  Definitely well worth the price.  Good Luck!

I'm getting married at East Wind and depeding on the day of the week they start at $63.00 pp. I second Brentwood CC though, I think it's 9500.00 for a 100 person wedding there with EVERYTHING, and I'm pretty sure you can add on additional guests.

Look at Stewart Manor Country Club, they were really affordable and give you the whole day on a Saturday to yourselves.

I second on using Stewart Manor Country Club!  They are definitely reasonably priced and you'd be the only wedding going on!  Plus the food is really good there!  I fell in love with SMCC when I was looking for places for my sweet 16, but ended up not having it there.  But now I am having my wedding reception there and am very excited!!!

I am getting married at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury and the place is beautiful! It is also well within your budget. They should definitely be on your list to visit.

I'm getting married at the Miller Place Inn and they have an AWESOME deal going on. Check it out, Millerplaceinn.com. It includes a lot of things and hold 220 comfortably. I've been to a wedding there and love it, kinda has a cute country feel to it. Good Luck!!

Verdi's gave me an incredible price of $50pp on a saturday night in May!! This is inclusive of liquor, tax and tip. I was going to get outside catering so the price may a little higher for others if they get their food but no more than $70, I think. I ended up not taking the venue because our families did not want the wedding and reception to be in 2 different places
