    Please help. End my suffering.

    Things bought/secured:
    - Wedding attire
Do you have alterations included with this?  Shoes?  Undergarments?  ETA:  Jewelry?
    -Wedding rings
    - Photog/Video
List of "must have" photos?  Timeline?  Are these people included in your meal count?
-Catering (Includes tables, chairs, linens, ect)
Centerpieces?  Table numbers?  Escort cards/seating chart?  Gift table?  Card box?
    - Favors
    -Cake
Are you providing the cake cutting knife/serving utensil?
    -Honeymoon
Do you need a passport?  Luggage?
    - Night of hotel and transportation
    -Invites are mail ready
    - Ring pillow thing
    - DJ
Playlist?  Timeline?  Names/list of wedding party members to be introduced?  Is he/she included in meal count?
    -Bartender
    Discussion regarding "no tips" jar?
    - Hair and make up apt set for trial and day of

Things that I know we do not have yet
    - Flower basket thing
    - Liquor
    -Marriage license
    - Bridal party gifts

Are you having a rehearsal dinner? Will you need invitations for that?  Do you need to coordinate "day of" transportation?  Are you having programs for the ceremony?  If you are bringing your own alcohol to the reception, do you have someone designated to bring home any unopened bottles? Do you have someone designated to bring home any gifts brought to the reception?
  • Still on the fence for rehearsal dinner. A lot of people are OOT, so still figuring coordination in that regard.

Having programs, do have to order them from etsy, thank you!

No one designated for unopened bottles, will get on that ASAP.

Dress: Alterations are included, as well as undergarments. No jewelry yet.
Photogs: Just met with them yesterday and they gave me a list of staged photos and timeline.
Tables: Centerpieces...No. Having lots of trouble in that area. But everything else is good.
Cake: Providing my own server set.
Honeymoon: Passport not needed. Cannot check in for the cruise until 90 days out. So that's on hold.
DJ: Have not met with yet to give the music list to, or introductions. But the list is complete.
Bartender: Is aware there will not be a tip jar.

Thank you! This gave me a great list!

  • Plans for food/beverages for you and the bridal party if you are getting ready together and will be together most of the day. For instance, we had breakfast items as the gals came into get makeup and hair done. They had lunch later right before going for photos.

Guest book? Are you doing welcome bags? Are you doing a hotel block?  Of course, none of these are required.
  • I swear I'm going nuts to. I'm getting married in April! I have a desk job and every day that it's slow I tend to make more and more checklists, timelines, ideas, etc. I'm going crazy!
  • TheKnot has a really good wedding checklist you can access here! I recommend it.

It lists things by date, and when you check things off they "go away" (you can choose to see them as well), so you clearly see what is left. You can also remove items that do not pertain to you.
  • I have to echo PP's that mentioned a list of must have photos for your photographer, and also food and drinks for the wedding party the day of. The food doesn't have to be fancy or expensive, but you need to have something for the wedding party (and yourself!) to eat during the day.

Also get a weekend timeline together. I will gladly send you mine if it will help. Send it/give it to your wedding party and VIPs ahead of time so they can ask questions if they have any. Communication before the actual weekend will save your life!

Do you have a day of coordinator?? I HIGHLY recommend having one if you weren't planning to.

  • I was going to get a coordinator but I wasn't sure if it was worth the expense.

I would LOVE that list @thefanciestbeckler ! Thank you.

I tried using TK's checklist, but on mobile version (I'm on a tablet and it auto changes to mobile) it doesn't seem to load properly for me.

Can I do like a catered lunch from like Subway ? With smaller sandwiches and wraps ? Would that be ok, or too heavy ?

We tried to offer foods that could be "grazed" on throughout the morning/early afternoon. We also tried to offer foods that were slightly risk free in terms of spillage and stains.  We had bagels/schmears, fruit, quiches, and yogurt/granola/fruit.  Wraps and small sandwiches sound perfect if you will be together during the lunch time hour.
  • Our hair appointment is at 10am for some of the girls that wanted it done, so I really like the yogurt idea! That and a tray of sandwiches/wraps with a fruit and veggie tray, and some drinks should be ok then ? I'll have to confirm with the salon that its ok to bring food.

I love wedding planning, like, its a sickness. I'm a fan of planning. But I have never been this stressed, ever. FI thinks its hilarious and just keeps telling me "I'm sure whatever you plan will be great." Um. No. Not the input I need. We want everyone to be happy, and have a great time. Not show up for a shit show.

    That was a vent. Sorry!

  • How long are you spending at the salon?

We had an early hair appointment- hair at 9am, then I had make up at 10am (no one else wanted make up done). Then we went back to my mom's and had our lunch there prior to getting dressed.

Likewise, we made sandwiches using croissants, lettuce, tomato and sliced meats- all from the grocery store. Fruit and veggies. Water and juice.
  • For DD's wedding, we had fruit, granola, fruit juice and coffee for breakfast while the girls were getting hair and MU done. For lunch we had salads/sandwiches brought in from a local sandwich place. The girls told us what they wanted from the shop and we ordered it. I think a tray of sandwiches/wraps would be fine.
