Where did you get your dress?

I really need to go dress shopping and don't know where to start. I don't want to spend too too much. Where did you guys get your dress?

What do you consider too much?  That will affect our answers.

Paradise, and I don't reccomend them AT ALL. They've been horrible to deal with and I wish I'd gone somewhere else.

I know not a lot of people like David's Bridal, but I went in there looking for a second dress and walked out of there with a $1,000 dress for $150. If you're looking for a budget dress, I suggest going there. If you're looking for a custom one-of-a-kind dress with a budget in mind, I suggest Etsy. I'm doing my entire wedding using artists from Etsy and I have been happy with every artist I've worked with so far. I do suggest reading all of their reviews first.

    I hope this helps.

I would recommend RK Bridal in Manhattan.  It is a huge warehouse and they have dresses from like $500 to $3000.  We went there for my sister and that is where I am going.  The cool thing about them is they have all their dresses on their website listed by designer and skew number.  You know how a lot of those place won't even tell you the skew number b/c they don't want you shopping around for a better price.  Well this place has a lot of business so I would say go at an off-peak time.  I didn't like David's bridal at all!

I got mine at Kleinfeld's, totally went just for the experience, but was able to get a dress under my budget.  They have dresses from $1000 and up.

I got mine from the Bridal Suite of Bayshore. So far they have been great. I've been thinking about getting my veil from David's Bridal just because they are cheaper but I'm terrified to go in there. For whatever reason I have this idea of that place being insane, crazy bridezillas ripping girls hair out for their dress. LOL

Everytime I've gone into David's it's been empty. Like, deserted. Try Etsy for veils too, I got mine for 30 bucks plus shipping and it's perfect.

I bought my dress from Bridal Reflections in Massapequa.  I loved the service there.  They knew what they were talking about.  I went in with pictures of dresses with things I liked and didn't like.  Nicole was able to find me dresses with what I wanted!  I just found my bridesmaids' dresses there as well.  If you are looking at dresses for $1000 and up, that is the place to go.

I just got mine at Lillette's in Bellmore (they just moved from Baldwin).  They are amazing to work with, and the woman I worked with got my sense of style immediately!

I bought my dress and bridesmaids dresses at David's Bridal.  I really liked their service, even though I had a different consultant each time.  The prices are really good and they have a lot of sales and a lot of variety of dresses.  I think they are really the best, even though I hear some people dislike them, but so far I have no complaints.  My dress should be in by October.

I also agree Paradise Gowns in Patchogue was terrible.  The consultant wasn't that helpful and it seems like everything is overpriced in there and I found more variety at David's
