Wedding Woes

Randoms

Remember when I mentioned that FIL's wife's mother passed away earlier this week?  DH already sent flowers, but I picked up a sympathy card for us to send, too.  So I was thinking of that and Googled the obit, and DH (and I) are listed as survivors.  Which feels a little weird.  It doesn't bother me, but I think we met the woman twice in her entire life.  (And one of those times was when FIL married the deceased's daughter.)  So it feels...odd.  Well-meaning, I'm sure, but odd.

I wonder if that means my kids are among the 23 great-grandchildren referenced but (understandably) not individually named?

Anyway, that's my random.  We went out for Thai and now I'm in a food coma, so it's your turn.

Re: Randoms

  • I got a random message from my dad in all caps asking me to help him deactivate Facebook. The man barely posts. He uses it like twice a year. Why the random drama needing to deactivate?
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

I randomly threw crap on a plate for lunch and it was awesome.  I was making stuff for Bunco tonight and had cucumber, olives, tomatoes, and peppers extra.  I tossed on a diced avocado, some leftover pasta, and balsamic vinegar.  mmmmmmm.  I will be making it again.
    That sounds delicious!

My random: Our dog appears to be scared of his own bark. He barks loudly, then whines or gets a shocked look on his face, as if he's saying, "Did I do that?"

I actually got a message from Facebook this week that someone had tried requesting a password change -- on top of other attempts by someone to hack other accounts of mine.  Maybe that's why your dad needs help -- because someone tried to hack his information elsewhere.  So he's scared.  Could that be the case?

Either way I hope he's okay.

Could be. Thanks. I hope so, too!

  • I have my dog a French fry with ketchup on it and her utter hatred of ketchup is something I now find endlessly amusing.

She nearly took my finger off taking the fry....then "we what the he'll is this" face

  • Every time I use the oven in this stupid rental house the fire alarm goes off. This morning the cat looked at me and me owed all annoyed like I was doing it on purpose.

Our alarm is like that too! To the point where our dog runs upstairs to hid whenever we use the stove. I swear we are not that bad of cooks.
  • I've been getting a lot of random friend requests on FB lately.   And they don't look like spammers .... just so weird.

Update: Turns out my dad wanted to be rid of FB b/c people were getting mad if he wouldn't accept their friend request and people post too many pics of their pets. Hahahahahahaha!
    Wow. Glad he's okay!

There is a woman I was friendly with until I realized she's nothing but drama and a nasty drunk.  Her son and mine were friends, but I haven't heard his name in awhile.

ANYWAY, both boys are signed up for lacrosse and team rosters come up this week.  I'm stalking and HOPING we aren't on the same team.  I don't want to hurt her feelings but I can't be around her.
  • I'm making executive and money decisions I truly have no right to be making, but I've got to get moving on some things and can't wait for committee decisions...that I can probably get to go my way anyway.

I think I just pulled off a helluva thing for our upcoming Pride and I'm so damn excited I can barely stand it.

I'm burnt out on my atheist group.  I've done a pretty good job at getting things handed and delegated out, but there's still some stuff that is solely me and I don't want to handle it anymore.

I am too old for dating drama, but apparently other 30 year olds aren't.

Also, this is my new go to thing:

  • I'm apparently a huge sap. I'm tearing up at Peyton Manning's press conference on the radio.

  • Why am I CRAVING potato chips when I already had a huge, very unhealthy lunch just a few hours ago?  Argh!  I hate that (munching on a Cheeto I just got from the vending machine).

  • I love how quite it gets when everyone starts getting off earlier than I do.. I honestly don't mind it. I get to work at 7 and go home at 3. 7 is early enough for me. Only other person here is my big boss and it is eerily quite in his office, so he must be in a meeting.

I spent the day digging a ditch, running septic and pipelines, and then filling in a ditch.
I am exhausted.  we got the last of it buried as Buffy got off the bus and the heavens opened up with rain.

  • I have 2 jobs. I cut hair and I work overnights doing security. I just did a haircut at my security job.
