@beachyone15 - I love your hair! How freaking good was TWD last night?! I really LOVE this season so much so far. We'll see how the rest goes, hopefully I don't change my mind. What all did you prep for the week? 

@wink0erin - When I finished season 5 through Prime, I went crazy trying to figure out how to watch what had already aired from season 6 and I ended up paying $5 total for a PBS/Thirteen membership to watch what I'd missed and then cancelled it once I was caught up. Now it looks like most of it is HERE.

@swazzle - 6.6 IS a BIG difference and you should be proud of it.  Slow and steady wins the race and means you are making the right lifestyle choices that can be followed in the long haul.  Also, your food this weekend sounds awesome.

@beachyone15 - Holy crap!  What a weekend.  I'm glad you guys had a good time but I feel bad for the dude who chipped his tooth.

@labro - Whooo hooo!  What a productive weekend!  I'm so excited for you guys if you can sell and move into your dream house.  Seriously, I'm more excited for you house hunting than I was for us!    You get SO much more bang for your buck where you live.  I need to move down South ASAP.

I'm tired...I honestly feel woozy/drunk I'm so tired even though I'm clearly not.  This weekend was just a zoo.  The shower got grouted and the tub tiled this weekend though.  Tub didn't get grouted but I don't care...the plumber can do his piece of the work this week on it without it being grouted.  We are so close now, thank God.  Hopefully just one more weekend like we planned.

On Sunday we had a get together in the Chicago suburbs so that was 2 hours of driving, a nice lunch with friends (a friend's mom was turning 60), some Indian food and then we drove into Chicago to check out H's condo he is selling this year (he was renting it out), then drove back for 2 1/2 hours so, yeah, a 12 hour day pretty much.  There are a lot of little projects we need to get done to get it on the market but we are hiring them out I think.  We have too much going on.  Then we went to a consignment sale in the Chicago burbs.  I got some GREAT deals.  A used but clean Baby Bjorn carrier that retails for $150 I got for $25!  An unoppened bottle warmer for half off!  And I just about cried when I saw an elephant rocker I've been dying to get Ani....it retails for $110 or so which was too much to spend on one toy she will barely use so I didn't want to get it...I got it at the consignment sale for $12!!!  I just have to clean the stuff up a bit but I'm really happy with my finds.

Best part of your weekend?  Hanging out with friends...and the steal of a deal on the baby elephant rocker.

Worst part of your weekend? Having no time off, UTE cramps, my legs falling asleep all the time and general tiredness.

What's for dinner tonight? Hopefully chicken salad with goat cheese (pasteurized).  

Busy or slow week ahead?  Busy, busy, busy.  Got a new deal and it is a doozy this week.

What's your next holiday (spring break, Good Friday, Memorial day)?  Memorial Day and that's it until Ani arrives!

@labro - That's what we thought at first too. So we were all trying not to bug/rush them
@swazzle - We washed a shit-ton of fruit, salads for the week, made healthier breakfast tacos to freeze, and I made H oatmeal (it's a mix of oats, blended oats, non-dairy powdered creamer, and cinnamon. I left out the brown sugar). We still have to make dinner a few nights this week, but our goal is to make enough that we can heat up leftovers the second night.
Dinners - grilled chicken and veggies, egg sandwiches with avocado, and lemon chicken with asparagus and broccolini.

@minskat30 Those are all great finds!!! I didn't think we would use our bottle warmer much but when we go on long trips in the car...it really came in handy!

Best part of your weekend? Brunch! We had so much fun and loved the restaurant and hotel. We decided to do a staycation there for my birthday in June.

Worst part of your weekend? There really wasn't a bad a part... I guess the least fun was picking up the chest freezer and maneuvering it ourselves. It wasn't heavy, but it was bulky and tall, so it was awkward for me to lift.

What's for dinner tonight? The garlic butter salmon that @cu97tiger made a few weeks ago

What's your next holiday (spring break, Good Friday, Memorial day)? Holiday as in break from work? May 6-9. Holiday as in next federal holiday I have off? Memorial Day.

Ugh, I am crazy bloated today, and my stomach keeps singing me the song of its people. My ute is also full of cramps. AF, you're a heinous bitch now that I'm on the IUD. I've also got DOMS from leg day on Saturday, so I'm a real peach to be around today.

H and I intended to start C25K (finally!!!) tomorrow morning, but the weather report shows intense storms today-Thursday. They're calling for hail and potential tornadoes and basically non-stop rain. Boooooo. We'll play it by ear each morning and see what the weather is like.

This weekend was a lot of fun. We went out with some friends on Friday night and then watched The Big Lebowski, which H and I had never seen. On Saturday H ran a bunch of errands while me and @audrewuh unpacked a bit. She left around dinner time, and then H and I worked a bit more until about midnight. On Sunday we went to fancy brunch and loved it. The food was delicious, the bottomless mimosas were super strong, and the venue was gorgeous. Afterwards we finally had him fitted for running shoes, went to the grocery store, picked up the chest freezer, and then my mom came over with some boxes from my childhood. Guys, I now have every single VHS tape we ever owned, schoolwork from Kindergarten, and basically every book anyone in the house ever owned. No idea what I'm going to do with everything. Remind me if/when I have kids to throw out their stuff periodically. Geez.

Tonight @audrewuh is busy, so I'll head to the gym, pick up Zoey from doggie day camp, make dinner, and work on some sewing projects on my own. 

PS-- It's Spring Break here! Traffic was AMAZING! 

I'll respond to everyone in a separate thread. This one got kinda long... sorry!

Negative, nothing has panned out so far.  I'm still on the hunt though.  There is a great used piece that is both a changing table and a dresser (it is a baby piece) she is selling for $225 (I'm thinking I can offer $200 or a little less and she will take it because it is seriously bulky) but it won't fit in our car and the lady is selling it about an hour away.  I'm seriously tempted to take my BIL's truck when he comes up next weekend and get it if it is still for sale and I can talk her down.  If that doesn't pan out, I'm thinking of switching directions and buying a used changing table for cheap on Craigslist (hopefully no more than $30) or at another huge consignment sale coming up in mid-April (the largest in WI) and then finding a dresser that doesn't have to double as a changing table too (which will free up a BUNCH of options for me height wise on dressers).  I'm determined not to pay full price on that piece of furniture.  Things like a crib, car seat, bottles, and decorative stuff I really want, etc. I get buying new but a dresser just doesn't make economical sense to me to buy new, KWIM?

@minskat30 awesome deals! I like your idea of getting a regular dresser, then it serves a purpose once a changing table is no longer needed.  Are there any facebook rummage sites for your area?  We have a bunch and people are always putting furniture on it. 

@twdimes I really like your bedding! I changed mine out too, but it was because it's getting warm so time to put the winter bedding away.

@minskat30 - I totally agree about buying new dressers. There are so many out there that people don't want anymore and I can't fathom paying full price for something like that. I really hope you find something reasonably priced and close to home soon!

@labro @eilis1228  I'll post a picture of the rocker tonight.  It is a little scuffed up but nothing a little love and paint can't fix.  

@speakeasy14 - I'm on the lookout for rummage sales too...they don't have a ton yet in WI because it is still crappy weather wise here.  I'm really looking forward to this April consignment sale though.  It is the largest in WI and I think I'm going to find some nice things there too.  I registered as a first time mom so I get to shop early too!  

@eilis1228 - Whooo hoo!!  Hopefully C25K goes well for you guys!  Let us know how the first day went.

@labro it's ok, I still occasionally look up houses that we looked at to see what they sold for and bask in the greatness that our house was such a better choice and that other buyer got hosed. hahaha Or if I drive by something on the market I will look it up and determine what I think it'll actually go for, then follow it and see how close I get...for no reason other than my dorkiness.

Hi everyone! I had such a great 3 day weekend.

Friday was a long day. I took my dog to the vet, and he turned into an asshole for the entire rest of the day (I guess so I'd know he was mad or something). Went to the dermatologist and got the thing on my forehead removed, then went to my laser hair removal appointment. There was a boutique next door to the salon that makes all their clothes in house, and I may have spent way more on a dress than I've spent on anything other clothing item in my life. The material is so freaking soft. I drool just remembering what it feels like.

Our couch came! Our living room is dark so all I can get is terrible pictures, but the color is perfect to go with our bright red wall! And it's massive, so it is so much easier to cuddle. The table next to it is actually a pretty decent size, and it looks so small now!

Saturday we drove to my hometown and had dinner at my parents'. Three of my siblings were there, and we all ended up going to a local bar afterward. My sister and I sang Come Sail Away at karaoke, which is kind of our anthem. On Sunday we drove to a town about half the distance back to Portland and saw Ragtime, which was my favorite musical before Book of Mormon came out. The talent was INCREDIBLE, but it was a private performance company, so the sets and sound systems were not quite up to par. It was nice to only have to drive half the distance back afterward, though.

Best part of your weekend? Seeing Ragtime again. It's been almost a decade since I first saw it.

Worst part of your weekend? SO MUCH DRIVING. I am exhausted today, even though we didn't get in late and I slept in.

What's for dinner tonight? A chicken dish from Blue Apron.

Busy or slow week ahead? Busy busy busy! All my study reports are due by the end of the week.

What's your next holiday? Looks like my next holiday is in May! I'm taking extra time off for the G2G though.

Ridiculously busy. I leave tonight to go to H's aunt's house, then my flight is at 7am tomorrow to Dallas for a work conference. When I get home Thursday night, I need to clean the house before H gets home. Then I'm at a luncheon for most of the day Friday and have Crossfit Friday night. WHEW. But, on the upside, I do get to see @eilis1228 and @audrewuh on Thursday!! WOOT!

What's your next holiday (spring break, Good Friday, Memorial day)?

Memorial Day. It's going to be right around embryo transfer so will be a good opportunity for H and I to relax.
