What's up for the weekend?

Hair appt for me tomorrow.  I'm not sure what the kids and DH are doing.  

DH leaves Sunday for a week OOT.  I have to work in the office Monday.   I'm trying to make plans for the evenings next week so that I can wear the kids out and have adult interaction.

I'm hoping DH and I can have a date night tomorrow.  We haven't had much alone time lately.

I'm loving the weather lately.  We've been able to go outside and the kids are burning energy.

I am so ready for the weekend.  I was dragging this morning, thinking about my lovely tomorrow when the alarm won't go off.

DS was in a mood.  (See yelling at Siri comment in Prudie post.)  Then DH left the door open and I was like "Don't let the cats out."  The older one would be fine if it came down to it, but the kitten definitely would not be.  He tried to claim he was in a hurry.  I'm sorry, but if shutting the front door is the difference between you catching your train or not, maybe you could walk  ever-so-slightly faster or something?  Make up those 2.5 seconds somehow?  Then he was like "See, they didn't get out" and I told that made him lucky, not right.

I had an interview earlier this week and now I'm in that place where all of the answers that seemed good at the time seem bad now.  (I.e. "Agh, why did I talk so much about being detail oriented?  It makes me sound like I'm not focused on the big picture.  .)  It's like junior high all over again.

It's supposed to rain Sunday, so I need to get out and get some yardwork done tomorrow.  But the other three are agitating for doing something fun.
 

Also, the sales rep who covers this territory is in the office this morning, he just passed my office and said hi.  I understand that he's sales-y, but he really likes to just hang out and shoot the shit, and I don't have time for that today.  Meanwhile, my favorite customer service rep showed up with a Trump That Bitch bumper sticker this morning.

We're going to the zoo today.  Tomorrow I'm taking M2 to a gymnastics meet at OSU.  DH is taking the boys to a Crew game.  There is drama with his brother about it. 

Sunday there is an egg hunt at the park.  If it's not storming we're going to that.  They are coupling it with an education program so I'm hoping it won't be as crazy as the ones that fly in a helicopter. 

I need to order DH's anniversary present.  A friend from high school announced that she and her high school sweetheart are divorcing.  25 years. 

I'm also debating if I want to call a landscaper to see where my quote is, but then if you can't get me a quote do I want to deal with you?

Date night with DH tonight. We are going to go to dinner and then go see 10 Cloverfield Lane.

Tomorrow I'm doing the usual- buying groceries, cleaning out the fridge, and maybe doing a little cleaning. I think mom is going to come by for a while so her dog can play with our dogs.

Sunday will be church, and then a going away party for my best friend's brother. He recently announced that he's moving to China for a year to teach English.

All in all, it will be a nice laid back weekend. My favorite kind.

Tonight, I'm helping with a drag pageant.

This weekend I'm making a database to send out sponsorship letters.  I'd like to hit between 400-500 potentials and really make some money. Hopefully they go out at the beginning of next week.

I'm also going to go see the movie version of Hamlet with Benedict Cumberbatch.  I'm really excited.

My mom's surprise birthday dinner went great last night. She had no idea and I almost gave it away.

Tonight: I'm making something for dinner. Idk what yet. Maybe we will rent a movie.

Tomorrow: NOTHING! I told FI I wanted to sleep in tomorrow morning. No ifs, ands or buts. If he wants to go fishing with his mom, he is more than welcome to. I'll roll over and go back to sleep.

Sunday: Church, laundry, NASCAR, TWD. That is all.

So FI and I have been talking about buying a house. But I have been dragging my feet with trying to get pre-qualified for a loan. Big changes scare me a little. But yesterday, we FINALLY applied for a loan. We will see what happens.

After the craziness of this week, I am definitely ready for a break.  Tonight DH is staying the night at his parents house to use their smoker (well, it's DH's smoker, but we live in an apartment) to cook 2 briskets, 2 pork butts, and 12 racks of ribs.  I feel a bit guilty, but I am super thrilled to have the alone time to relax and read tonight and tomorrow morning.  And then I get to chow down on a bunch of awesome food tomorrow afternoon.

Ugh.  I just spent half my day looking for something that was supposed to ship to my attention (prototype for a customer).  Tracking showed it was here, no one could find it, and after looking for literally hours (it's important!) I found out my boss had it.  WTF???

I've talked to the same person in accounting twice today and I hate talking to said person because she's always a hot mess.  I actively pray not to get her.

I have one of those people in accounts payable. She drives me up the wall and I cringe when she answers the phone. I will call everyone else before I have to call her.

Today I went shopping for decorations and stuff for a surprise party for a coworker. Tomorrow I'm grading papers. 

I am a little bummed because I ordered a fun new spring dress. It came this past week, and I think it's too low cut to wear to work. I can't justify keeping it if I can't wear it to work because I will likely never wear it otherwise. We just never do much socially that I wear dresses to. Booh.

Maybe you could wear a cami underneath the dress. I often do that with tops and dresses because I'm fairly busty and don't like to show much cleavage.
