Both are gorgeous, but I prefer sunset because after the sun goes down, bon fires can start.

Last night I watched the PLL finale with my mom and sister while texting @GoldenPenguin and @swazzle. OMG that was an intense episode, I screamed at least 3 times.

Came home and meal prepped for today, plus picked out my outfit.  I'm trying to do as much as possible the night before.  I had every intention of doing yoga early this morning, but the bed and sheets claimed me as one of their own.

Not sure what the plan is for today.  I do need to stop at the grocery store to get some fruit and veggies.  Also need to get guinness, baileys, and jameson.  I'm making Irish Car Bomb cupcakes for St. Patty's.  (well technically Friday because we're having an office potluck).

Morning!  Full day at work today but yesterday was so nice and productive!  I took an Uber home (half the price of a cab) because H had the car and I cooked him dinner (stir fry) and me dinner (gluten free pancakes).  I'd been craving pancakes for weeks and was in heaven eating them.  After that, I cleaned up the house a bit, organized Ani's clothes in her new dresser and took an hour long bath.  It was wonderful.  I also came home to the NICEST surprise from @speakeasy14 ... so thoughful and her card made my day.  Can't wait to show Ani off in it in less than 12 weeks!



Raj did not want me to leave this morning...he gave me serious side eye and wanted belly rubs (getting awfully hard for me to bend down and he does not approve).



Today I have to get to the gym after work but supper is cooked already for H so one less thing to worry about thankfully.  I plan on hitting bed early tonight.

-Lunch is a salad with chicken likely.  Dinner will be more pancakes...or cereal.  I'm 10 lately.

-Right now?  Urban because (a) tropical means zika and (b) winderness means no one to call if I go into labor or something.  Normally?  Tropical all the way.

Sunrise or sunset and why.

-Sunset.  I love sitting outside with a glass of wine, watching the sun set.  Nothing quite like it.

If you're a Pinterest user, what types of pins do you save most often?

-I'm not but I am looking at nursery inspiration ideas lately now that bathroom inspiration pictures are done being looked at.  

How can I get K to quick having a karate party at 2:30 every morning?

-The answer is always chocolate!!!  Keep a stash near by your bed and eat it before bed silly.  Or jelly beans (they are on my night stand now, I kid you not).  That way she has a party earlier in the night vs 2:30 in the morning.    Don't you love that logic?

Morning! I've spent the morning dealing with medical bills from H's surgery. SIGH. 

Last night was taco night in the Swazzle house complete with my world-famous guac. I also happen to have this for lunch today which I'm really excited about. Then I watched the PLL finale with @GoldenPenguin and @speakeasy14 and it was SOOOOOO good. 

Today will be typical: work - home - dinner - Survivor weekly party.

@caseface5 - I really love that color (teal) on you.  Very pretty.

@speakeasy14 - I didn't know what OOTD was for the longest time either.    They have an acronym for it on The Bump too on Wednesdays (HDBD...Hump Day Bump Day) and it took me forever to figure it out.  I'm slow.

@swazzle - Medical bills suck.  Did your deductible not kick in yet?  I'm having the same problem with all my medical bills for baby...I'm going to meet my deductable soon though thankfully (well, I guess thankfully...still a shit ton of money).  You look beautiful today!

@TwoDimes - Booo to them getting your order wrong.  That sucks!

@minskat30 - We have met our $400 deductible and still have $137 of $1500 to go on our out-of-pocket maximum but all of that is AFTER these bills hit our account. I know next to nothing about insurance bullshit so I owe a HUGE thank you to @buddysmom80 for helping me out this morning! 

Thank you so much! I'm feeling a little frumpy today because it's my weigh-in day and I was up a little so it's probably just in my head.

Last night I painted my hallway. I need to do a second coat but I'll wait to do an actual AW once we get new carpet in. Since I was painting with the old carpet I decided no1curr and I didn't give a single shit over drips or smears on the carpet (I'm a messy painter). The new color looks great and I can't wait to be done!

Today I have a work birthday lunch, and then I have a second hair appointment at 5 to FINALLY get my hair cut. I usually try to schedule my cut and highlights for the same day but it just didn't work out this time. Once I get home I'm not sure if I'll have time to do the second coat of paint so I'll probably start prepping the guest bedroom for paint instead.

Can I say both? I like both. Sunrise because it's getting brighter but it's still cool and beautiful out and I love how the sun shines on my plants. And sunrise because it's cooling off from the day and the sky is beautiful and the colors from the sun are also beautiful and usually because I'm enjoying it with a glass of wine in hand.

Good morning and happy Wednesday!

Yesterday's all-day meeting was brutal.  BRUTAL.  We presented 30 projects to management for our first ever quarterly review to our new division manager and he just ripped everything up one side and down the other.  It's obvious that there is some butting of head's between my first-level manager and the Big Boss and he was totally bringing that into it.  Out of all the branches, we had the most informative reviews, but he just slammed us with criticism.  This is also after he gave us 2 weeks' notice, and then one week into it completely changed his mind on what he wanted.  So we had to completely redo everything.  And then in the review, he didn't like what we presented and kept asking questions that had to do with my initial presentation that he said he didn't want.  AH!

Today we're meeting with him and all the first-level managers.  He wants to do this every quarter, but we're going to have to standardize what he wants and somehow automate it.

So I worked late yesterday (pulled 11 hours at work), went home, ate, then went over to my mom's to work on chalk painting K's furniture.  Then I went with my dad and H to Lowe's to pick up the flooring stuff and unload it at our house.  I ate apple and PB while they did all the lifting and supervised.

I fell asleep with Cricket in the bed, and woke up at 2:30 sick.  I stuck her in her crate and ate a snack, but that got Kennedy going.  She was kicking so hard that my entire stomach was moving.  We finally settled down about 3:30 or so... and then my alarm went off at 5:15.  *sigh*

I picked up a Flat White at SBUX this morning and ate an egg burrito.  I made a few of them the other day (just egg, chz, mild green sauce in a tortilla) so I could nuke them for something quick.  So far I'm feeling OK, but this morning I was really really nauseous so we'll see how the rest of the day goes.

I'm trying to pump myself up for the meeting with the managers here in 30 minutes.

I have a Marie Callendar's pot pie and a piece of fruit for lunch.  I might try to make spaghetti and frozen meatballs with salad for dinner if I'm not feeling sick.

Usually, I want to go to a smaller urban city...  I loved Boston on our HM.  It was a really fun trip, but it wasn't so huge that it was overwhelming.

I love sunrise because it's so peaceful, but OK sunsets are so vibrant.  Both are gorgeous.

I'm sorry @swazzle - Yeah, we have an out of pocket max of around the same.  I told H to get ALL his doctor appointments in this year since all my doctor visits will hit that in no time.  Hugs to you.  You don't look frumpy at all...you look lovely!

@cocobellaf - How is the chalk painting going?  I needed like 3 coats for my dresser I did but I bought the cheaper Home Depot chalk paint so I don't know if that is why?  Or it could be that half my paint ends up on the floor like I said to @labro ... lol.

@minskat30 - It's going well.  My mom did a quick spray paint of white on the horse and rocking chair since they were practically neon.  We turned them upside down and painted everything we could reach on that side with one coat.  We need to do the first coat now right side up, then we'll do a second coat for sure on right side up, and maybe upside down again.  Then on the rocking char we are adding a white wash (we painted it Annie Sloan Provence) and the rocking horse we're going to add accents of the Provence.  I think we'll finish this week.  Then it's on to the big piece of furniture... the changing dresser.  

My mom buys the Annie Sloan brand, so it's very thick and goes on nicely.  We normally do two coats and then a wash+wax or just a wax to seal everything.

@labro - FOR SURE.  My coworkers wanted to have a stand-up meeting (aka gossip in the hall) and I told them they'd have to move it to my area so I could sit, because I am DONE for the week.  I knew that yesterday would be one of those days.  I have a ton of hours at work this pay period, so I'll get to leave early either today or tomorrow, in addition to my normal half day Friday.  Thankfully I spent most of the day sitting yesterday, but the floors at Lowe's are TOUGH on my feet for some reason!!

@minskat30 that's hilarious that you had pancakes last night because on my birth month board they were all talking about pancakes. And I mentioned how I don't eat pancakes, I mean they taste fine but I haven't one in a decade because they are at the bottom of my breakfast food loves. I always get/make eggs, egg sandwich, bacon, corned beef hash, toast, Belgium waffles. I would never think of pancakes when I could have any of those instead LOL. Also you look great!

@twodimes boooo I hate looking forward to something then being let down! That just happened, I was with a huge group of people and everyone said they didn't want dessert and I was like well fuck you guys I'm getting a churro. So then everyone changed their minds and ordered dessert....and guess whose never came?! Mine! I just let it go because the waiter didn't come back FOREVER.

I wish it was Tacky Tuesday again because I have the best submission for the tackiest thing I've seen lately!! My roommate's son is getting married this summer, you might remember when I asked if its a no-no to have the reception the day after the ceremony. It gets worse. 

She got the invite yesterday, in a mass email. Text only.

 The ceremony is going to be held in NY. There are no paved paths so the email says being comfy shoes! Exploring will be available between 3 and 5:30 when the ceremony starts.
The "ceremony dinner" is going to be in CT at the bride's parents' house. Under attire is says: "whatever!" They will be having dinner/drinks and casual celebration. 
The reception is the next day, also at the parents house. 
There will be lawn games! Appetizers! Food trucks! Dancing! A "special SEND OFF "
Then, when you visit the wedding website, they say they have not registered for gifts because they have more than they could possibly need, but would instead love guests to give money to put towards their honeymoon.

Thats all I got. My roomie is embarrassed, I feel bad. When I get married I'll make her proud (she's like my third mom!)

@twodimes hahaha my best friend and I own a lot of the same clothes.  There have been a few times we've gone somewhere wearing something similar, but for my sister's bridal shower we both showed up in the same dress.  Now we call each other before we go somewhere so we make sure not to match.

Good morning. I feel pretty great this morning after getting 8 hours of sleep. That rarely happens because I always stay up too late. But last night I didn't feel that great. I think I'm finally developing seasonal allergies which sucks because I've never had allergy problems. But it's common in TX so I guess I'm joining the club. Anyway, last night I made chicken salad so we'd have dinner done for tonight. I had ordered some makeup from ULTA which came in the mail yesterday so I'm super excited to try it! H and I watched some tv and passed out early.
Tonight we'll probably go to the gym and start cleaning the house. We are hosting dinner/game night this weekend and both of our families are coming over. I'm a little nervous because I've never hosted 10 people before!
