Card Pockets for VistaPrint Invitations

I want nice enough invitations, but don't really want to invest a ton of budget share into them.  We found these invitations on VistaPrint and they were the only ones FI liked.  We ordered 10 to see how we liked them and were very happy.

I planned on doing a card pocket where we would adhere the invitation to the back and have the RSVP and Accommodation card in an attached pocket.  However, it seems that the VistaPrint 5" x 7" is actually a little bit bigger and I can't find a card pocket that fits it.  I found a blog with a link to a company that has slightly larger card pockets to fit the VistaPrint invitation but they have since went out of business.  Does anyone have other ideas of where to find these?

Feel free to correct my wording as well if it's incorrect!

Re: Card Pockets for VistaPrint Invitations

  • Cards and pockets has signature plus pockets which I believe fit a 5x7 invite.

Yeah that's the sample I ordered. The Vista Print 5x7 is really more like 5.25"x7.25" and I can't find a 5.5" x 7.5" card pocket.

ETA:  The Sabrina was the option that Cards and Pocket made that fit the VP 5x7 but they no longer offer it.  It was 5.5" x 8.5".

  • Go to a Michaels or Hobby Lobby and get a crafter's  razor  paper cutter, used in scrap booking.  You can trim a little off the edges neatly.

You can also just reduce the size of the invites a tad with a sharp X-acto knife, a ruler, and a cutting mat with grid lines. We hand cut our Save the Dates from cardstock this way, and it wasn't too bad.

    k thnx bye

Damn, I was hoping to avoid all that!  Oh well.

Does this mean my wording gets a pass?

No.  Do not capitalize "request".  JMHO, but I think limiting the printing to only two fonts would look better.  The "request the pleasure of your company" line is so very small compared to the other lettering.

That razor trimmer only costs about $12 when you use a coupon, and it makes trimming very easy.  I use mine frequently.

    Thanks!

  • @CMGragain how's this?  I also double checked, all of the cursive font is Annabelle and the print is Goldenbook so it is only 2 fonts.

  • Wording is fine.  "in the evening" is optional.  I would put the "request the pleasure of..." in script, too, but that's just my taste.  Nice design.  Vistaprint?  They are wonderful.

  • Thanks, I'll look at it in script and see what I think. Yes, these are from Vistaprint. I love real gold foil but not the price tag of it so this is the happy medium.

  • I was just about to come and say that Cards & Pockets had the VP size, but sad to see its discontinued for you.  I used VP and C&P for my invitations, but I had my friend design them and we used the upload your own design feature.  I actually wanted a square invite, so my friend just created a square invitation and then a grayed box at the bottom of the invite, RSVP card, etc.  Then when they arrived, I used the above cutter from Michaels and removed the gray box.  Then added everything to the pocket I bought.  They came out great.  Not sure if that would be an option since you are buying a VP design.
