advice please. platinum or what?

im planning my wedding for next july and we are for sure doing vegas. trying to keep it under 8 or 9 thousand. platinum hotel seems like the best option so far but i was wondering if anyone else had suggestions. open bar or lots of alcohol is a must with my friends and family. i have to have music and dance floor space. there will be about 40 people. platinum hotel makes most sense because everything is included and it will be around $8,000. i wish i could do a hotel on the strip that has a casino too but i was willing to settle. i looked into insuite but i am worried about sneaking in catering and having enough space. anybody have any advice?

It depends on what you're looking for. Lots of couples are able to in-suite with catering and booze with no problem, it's just a matter of choosing a hotel that's less grumpy about doing it. We're not interested in music or dance floor space, as we're planning on bumpin' on over to a different venue to partake in their festivities.

I really liked the Platinum's options, but we eliminated it before our scouting. All in for in-suite, we're much lower than the ~$8K package. It might be worth looking at one of the restaurants like Trevi (I think) that would give you the option of a private room plus dance floor area.

  • Many Strip casinos have hotel rooms for parties. Nightclubs often have private parties for high spenders with a DJ going. The noise is not an issue. I mainly know of Mandalay Bay Media Suite. It doesn't have a bedroom, it is for parties. You can bring in catering, have music and plenty of room When we looked into it it cost about $500/ $600 for the night
  • Oh the media suite they have listed on the website shows a bedroom:
