This morning, I was making my smoothie and FH didn't think it was combining fast enough. He "helped" by stirring it with a wooden spoon while the blender was on. Thus, chopping off a chunck of the spoon in my smoothie. 

If that is the worst thing that happens today, we will be allllllright.

I just found out my mom lost her job. My dad had to take early retirement because of his MS. And my mom's job, in addition to being their real sole source of income, provided the health insurance my dad needs.

I'm in shock and really stressed, sad, and upset for them.

Thank you. He is looking into it, but his retirement is recent and the paperwork process is apparently lengthy.

Happy days to @ShesSoCold and @DrillSergeantCat. Hope you all are enjoying yourselves. 

Count me in as someone who also had a super weird work day. I met up with a colleague (who I knew before taking the new job), which was great. There are a lot of positives about the department and she reinforced a lot of the things I liked about the department. 

However, she also confirmed that there is some weird stuff with the secretary and resources. I'm feeling like someone is trying to get away with not providing me with things that were in my contract. I'm trying to navigate how to push back on this without seeming like the jerk who is it showed up and is being demanding.
