Wow! July flew by!

How was your weekend?
It was nice! Callie popped out another tooth and actually walked a bit more. She took like 4-5 steps yesterday which was awesome to watch. She is getting so strong. She isn't very comfortable though with all the teeth coming in...I've been struggling to get her to eat since her gums are all irritated. Poor thing...I hope this passes soon. Besides all of that, we celebrated @labro and my H's birthday on Saturday and yesterday had brunch and picked up my cousin from the airport. Good weekend.

What was your favorite part of July?
Definitely going to the beach for Callie's first beach trip and getting to see her take her very first steps! Best part by far!

Are you looking forward to anything in August?
DH's birthday, getting ready for Callie's birthday in September, and FOOTBALL!

Are you dreading anything in August?
Well DH has to see his Mom and step dad next weekend at his grandparent's bday party...luckily I'm not going but I know it will be stressful on him to be there with them.

How was your weekend? Really good! H and I went up to NH to visit my parents for my birthday. We caught up with them, played some dice games, went fishing/canoeing and swimming, and got some food at my favorite seafood shack. I'm sad to be back at work for a full week today!

What was your favorite part of July? Wow, we did so much stuff I'm not sure if I can choose! Our weekend in Maine (half marathon), our camping trip, BILs wedding or this past weekend in NH. It's all a toss up!

Are you looking forward to anything in August? Beach weekend with my girlfriends from college! And I have the entire week off after that.

Are you dreading anything in August? Having to be at work while the weather is so nice.

How was your weekend?
Great! Friday night our friends came over for a cookout and brought their dogs so Tessie had a great playdate. We also got to use our firepit! Saturday and Sunday was filled with running errands, starting a new puzzle, catching up on tv/movies, buying the new HP, and dinner with my parents. All in all a great weekend!

What was your favorite part of July?
I think it was our 4th party. I have so much fun every year which is why we like to have it. I love that all our family comes out and that Tessie gets to run and play all day!

Are you looking forward to anything in August?
Cheer starts tonight!! I can't wait to meet my team and start my 5th season as a coach! We also have 2 weddings, birthday parties, grad parties, and Brew at the Zoo! We have something every weekend which should make this month fly by!

Are you dreading anything in August?
Having something every weekend can get very exhausting and it will suck to not have any down time.

Pretty low-key. H was out of town, so I did a bunch of stuff around the house, went to Crossfit, and took the pups on two nice long walks.

Vacation in the 1000 Islands!

MY BIRTHDAY!! Only because one of my friends is getting married that day in Tampa, so I get to spend the weekend with a bunch of my MBA peeps. Can't wait!

@southernpeach89 It was soooooooo cool watching Callie take so many steps yesterday! I can't believe how strong she is! I hope her gums start to feel better soon now that all those teeth are starting to come through. Poor baby!

How was your weekend?
Pretty good! We spent all day Saturday with @southernpeach89 and her H and Callie. We played an incredibly awkward and hilarious game of CAH. It was hysterical listening to my parents trying to read the cards and they made some mistakes during the game that we won't forget for a lonnnggg time!

On Sunday we picked up my (distant) cousin from Germany! I am so excited she is here! H and I got to visit with her while we were on our honeymoon but it's been 3 years for the rest of my family since she was last in the US.

In even bigger news, on Sunday morning H and I made the decision to just go ahead and pay off my car!!!!!!!! I sent in the payment and it cleared right away so we are officially debt free!! With the exception of our mortgage of course...but not having student loans OR a car loan just feels so freaking good today! I can't stop smiling!

What was your favorite part of July? Definitely our beach vacation and seeing Callie take her first steps. It is SO exciting to watch her grow and develop into this incredible little person!

Are you looking forward to anything in August? Not having a car payment OR a student loan payment for the first time in....6 years.

Are you dreading anything in August? The heat. August is one of our worst months for heat and humidity and June and July were already hotter than average so I am not looking forward to this month.

@LizzyTish88 I totally know what you mean about being busy every weekend - that was July for us! H is leaving for a trip on Thursday and I won't see him for over a week, but I also have NO plans this upcoming weekend except for brunch with some friends and I cannot wait to relax!

• Celebrating my nephew turning 1 (and seeing that he absolutely loves the monkey tunnel I bought him)

• Today is Callie's 5th birthday.  She got a smoked bone, a new rope toy, and special food. (And because I'm an obsessed dog mom -- pictures from the day I got her and today.  Just to see how tiny she was, the bottom left picture she was on a walk with my mom's maltese).

Also for August excitement:

• I just got selected to go to a taping for Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday!!! 

• Visiting my family this weekend

• My PFSIL's bridal shower

• My bf's best friend's daughter is due any day!
• Taking my nieces to the waterpark

Are you dreading anything in August?
Paying bills -- this is usually when our tax bill comes -- so that's not fun mail to receive

Hi from an OMH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will create a separate AW thread in a little while.

How was your weekend?
Pretty great actually! We spent Friday night and Saturday in London, and got to see Big Ben, The Tower of London, and Buckingham Palace. Our flight back to NY was Saturday evening, and we got back to our apartment at 3 am. We were awake by 8 am, and then opened our wedding gifts, picked more up at my in-laws house and had lunch with them, then visited my parents and grandfather. It was a busy but fun day!

What was your favorite part of July?
I have to pick one? Our wedding day, falconry in Ireland, being in Ireland in general, and being able to say I have a husband! 

Are you looking forward to anything in August?
I have two showers and bachelorette parties to attend for good friends of mine, and I am really looking forward to that. DH (going to have to get used to typing that!) and I might also use one of our wedding gifts to take a weekend away for ourselves-my uncle gave us a gift card to an amazing resort in the mountains!

Are you dreading anything in August?
The hand cramps from writing all of those thank you notes!

How was your weekend? It was alright. I had to split my bamboo cutting across both days because I broke out in hives both times. BF and I went to breakfast on Sunday and we haven't done that for a long time. And a new season of Married At First Sight just started so I got caught up on the first two episdoes. And best of all, I finished my puzzle!!!

What was your favorite part of July? The weekend with my friend's party (even if it was SCANDALOUS), and traveling to Seattle to see A Gentleman's Guide with my mom.

Are you looking forward to anything in August? I get to see The Lion King (broadway) on the 13th!

Are you dreading anything in August? I'm still waiting to hear back on the job I applied for. I'm dreading getting notified that I'm not qualified, or sucking at my interview if I am, or potentially having my current boss on the interview panel.

How was your weekend? Saturday sucked - I had a work event all day and it was hot and then rainy and I was miserable. Sunday was AMAZING because I got to meet my niece!!

Are you looking forward to anything in August? Getting through the next two weeks of work. I feel like I have so much to do and not nearly enough time to do it. 

Are you dreading anything in August? The next two weeks of work. Both of my bosses are out all this week, and we have a huge event next week, so I get to/have to do everything, and I'm stressed.

@TwoDimes - That is so funny!!! Cats are freaking stubborn, especially when it comes to laying down in the warmth somewhere (i.e. directly on my laptop keyboard every time I tried to do homework in college). I hope Indy likes the daycare! That sounds like an AWESOME place!

How was your weekend?
My weekend was great! We were in Charleston with the ILs. It was HOT AS BALLS, and by 2pm-ish every day I hit a wall and needed a few hours to recover, but overall we had a great time. We visited a plantation, toured Fort Sumter, explored an aircraft carrier, walked all over town, and ate some great food. Other than the heat, the only downside was too much time with the ILs. It would have been really nice if we'd been able to break away from them and do some stuff on our own, but MIL is kinda clingy. 

On a different note, I also read a ton of really great books over the weekend. Between Thursday and Monday, I finished 5 books! I read The Paper Magician trilogy, the new HP, and Finders Keepers. I'm now 7 books ahead of schedule on my Goodreads challenge! Guess I should increase that goal lol.

What was your favorite part of July?
Probably everything job-related. I got a job offer at the beginning of the month and left my previous position towards the end of the month. It was a really great experience, and I'm really excited for the future.

Are you looking forward to anything in August?
I start my new job tomorrow! I'm very excited and nervous about it. I really hope I develop great relationships with my coworkers and my manager, and I hope that I perform as well as they think I will. My focus this month will be settling into the new job and figuring out a new daily routine since my work hours will be changing. 

I'm also SUPER excited to start using some of the benefits at the new job. H and I can both affordably get friggin amazing health insurance at the new job, plus they'll reimburse me for a gym membership every year. I've seriously missed group classes since cancelling my gym membership (my apartment has two gyms on site, so paying for a gym every month felt silly and unnecessary), so I'm really looking forward to doing those again (for free, essentially). Also, the new company has a ton of corporate discounts for all sorts of stuff, and they're really focused on health and work-life balance, so I'm pretty excited to take advantage of all these great perks. I'm crossing my fingers they have a discount with Garmin so I can get THIS. I love my Fitbit Charge HR, but it's kinda bulky and isn't the most accurate. I really love the look and feel of their Alta, but it doesn't track heart rate. I think the Garmin HR would be a good alternative.

Are you dreading anything in August?
The heat lol. It's unbearably hot. I am so ready for October when the temp will finally dip below 90-100 degrees. Oh and not being able to post here anymore. That is going to be terrible.
