Coloring grey hair

My hair is naturally medium-dark brown but going grey (pic below). I haven't colored my hair in three years, but I feel the need to color my hair for the wedding. I've gone red a few times and black a couple times, but mostly different shades close to my natural color. I'm concerned about going too dark, too red, or too light. Any suggestions?

    Do you mean coloring it yourself? I have my stylist do my color - which is dark brunette too. I go very close to my natural color, but it is a warmer shade than my natural. I think that is more flattering for me.

    Yes, I will be coloring it myself.

    ETA: I might go to a cosmetology school for color, especially if I decide to get highlights or lowlights (I'm too chicken to do those myself).
