Need help finding a restaurant/venue for our rehearsal dinner. Please help!!!!

My fiance and I are trying to figure out where we should have our rehearsal dinner... the problem is that we don't live in LI anymore, and we really don't know the restaurants in the area.

We're going to have between 40 and 50 people at the dinner, and we're hoping to find a place in Eastern Long Island. The type of cuisine really doesn't make too much of a difference to us, although we had contemplated a Japanese restaurant if the opportunity comes up.

Any suggestions would be SO helpful.   Thanks!!!!

I just moved to Huntington this year, but I can tell you three incredible restaurants here: Picolo Busola, Besito, and Joanina (the latter two in Huntington Village). How far east are you getting married?

Thank you so much for the recommendations, we'll definitely look at those. We're getting married in East Meadow, but my family lives in Cold Spring Harbor, so Huntington is definitely doable for us!

Our rehearsal is near there, Antonette's in Bellmore (merrick rd).  La Piazza is right near there as well.  Further east, I recommend Argyle Grille in Babylon and Prime in Huntington.

Thank you so much for the recommendations, we'll definitely take a look at all of them. We're actually having the ceremony and reception at the carltun in Eisenhower Park.
