Last minute wedding details

The wedding is less than a week away and I have this looming feeling I'm forgetting something big...I'm running it all through my head and I can't think of a single thing.  Anything you guys forgot or over looked?  Last minute mishap possibilities I should think of?

Re: Last minute wedding details

  • I didn't forget anything that I can remember.

As long as you have your license, officiant, witness(es) -if you are required to have them, rings and your FI you are all good.  Everything else is fluff.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  • Aside from what @lyndausvimentioned, I can't think of anything crucial.

My advice is to get as much sleep as possible and be sure to make time for exercise or whatever else you do to relax and clear your mind (bubble bath, yoga, nature walk). Focus on how exciting it's going to be to celebrate with your family and friends!
  • I'm sure I've posted this before, but I forgot underwear. I didnt need particular undergarments for my dress so I kept putting it off-- so much so that I forgot I didn't have anything nude until the day before, so my sister and I ran out to find underwear.

Other than that just double check you have clothes for the next day if you're staying over, transportation for yourselves (the night of and the next day), any cash for tips,  and your marriage license. Congratulations!

I was in a similar boat. I didn't forget anything, but two days before, when I was heading to my mom's for the night before, I remembered, "Oh yeah, I need clothes for the day after our wedding when we leave the hotel!".

If you've got things running through your head, write them down. That will help you relax and let it go, because you know you've got it somewhere.
  • I was checking into my hotel around lunch time and almost forgot to bring something to eat. I drove away from my house and turned about a block later to grab a peanut butter/jam sandwich. I could have grabbed room service but I wanted something cheap, filling and easy.

If I wasn't by myself and planning for time with others, I probably would have had a solid plan for food. I think I almost forgot because it was just for me.

didn't have time to give a proper thanks but I had ALSO forgot underwear.  I went out the next day
after reading your post to get it.  It wouldn't have been the end of the world but I would have been very annoyed with myself!
