Cake options

As in, something that's not cake? Or unconventional cakes (e.g. naked cake)? 

Anything you would normally serve for dessert can be your "cake". 

Some options are:
-donuts
-cupcakes
-cookie bar
-chocolates
-ice cream sundae bar
-mini desserts bar
-various kinds of pie
-individual mini cakes for each guest

I mean, really the sky's the limit - as long as everyone eats the same thing and you have enough for each guest.

One of my cousins did pies (plus a fancy cake for show; no one ate it). My brother and SIL and two other cousins did Viennese tables with cookies and mini desserts.

I attend a lot of wedding with Viennese hours- cheesecakes, ice cream sundae bars and cupcake towers are always pretty big hits, if you're looking for something in leiu of cake.
