And here it is Wednesday already

Re: And here it is Wednesday already

  • @Heffalump  I have never heard of that but sounds hilarious! Is it on netflix or is it a show?

It used to be a regular feature on The Toast, but they've shut down and aren't doing updates, though they've promised to keep the current content up.  The title should be clicky, but I've had extra TK wonkiness since we were upgraded to IE 11 at work (like not being able to resize pictures, grrrr), so if it's not, it will also work in The Google.
  • @CharmedPam I'm so glad you like that because I just ordered myself a couple of bath bombs.
"Wicked" just reminds me of what Halloween would smell like.  I have 2 candles coming, so I better burn them quick.  I do love them.  I'll let you know about the bathbombs when I try them.  FI just unclogged the tub today (I shed.  A lot).

  • Something good that happened today:

Today I discovered that, since July, I have been getting 50% more PTO than I was in June.

I wonder how I missed that...?

your renters get a say in the type of A'/C unit  @short+sassy  ? I would think well you moved in with window units and that is what is staying unless they signed the lease with the expectation of change

It was an  HVAC system when they moved in.  So I do feel responsible for changing "like with like" or offering a concession on their rent if they'll agree to accept the window units.  I also outline in my lease the items in the home I am responsible for maintaining/replacing.  The HVAC system is one of them.

I could rent it fairly easily at their current rent even with window units.  But we are under a lease until April, so I feel I need to replace it or work out a new deal.

I do have one rental with window units and my new duplex will have window units.  So, yes, tenants who move into places with window units already know that is the deal.  I've occasionally had a potential tenant ask if I will put central in.  I politely tell them "no" and give them a brief reasoning.  While thinking, "Oh, HELL no."

makes sense. I was thinking you already had window units and were considering adding central air to make them happy and was just like wow

I thought that might have been the misunderstanding.

I'm a pretty awesome and responsive landlady, if I do say so myself.  But I'm not THAT awesome, lol.

I'll have to check it later. My work comp blocks a lot of links. Never heard of The Toast and I giggled a bit at "The Google" ;)
  • Congrats @levioosa!

My day also took an upswing, I got my ring back from the doctor, mailed my invitations and ordered a birdcage veil!
