Jewelry Gift for husband-to-be

My sister's getting married March next year. She's now working in Singapore, but will be back for good this December! Her fiance is based here in SoCal. Mom and I are helping her in her wedding preps. Now she's planning to give her fiance a gift. He's an artist -  a photographer/musician. Really getting confused on which one is nicer between a necklace and a bracelet. These are Deific jewelry BTW. Getting overwhelmed with their nice collection really! Not sure if silver is ok but the gold one looks a bit special. Jamie Foxx got a silver ring from the said collection though and looks like it goes well with any kind of wardrobe. Will really appreciate your input ladies.

I think the owl necklace looks feminine, whereas the bracelet looks masculine--not sure how big of a concern that is to your FBIL, but the necklace reminds me of something I could find in Hot Topic or even Claire's, while the bracelet looks more unique and not like something you could pick up for ten bucks in a mall.  It looks very heavy and bulky, though--I'm guessing he wouldn't be able to wear it if he's playing an instrument at the same time.

I also prefer the bracelet. I agree, it looks more unique, something you can't find somewhere else.

Does he normally wear very large pieces of jewellery? These are very, very bold statement pieces. 

ETA: I just looked it up because I don't know the brand and saw that the pendant is $230 and the bracelet is $800! For that price, neither of these pieces look that high of quality. If you are looking to spend in that much on a gift, really make sure this is something he wants. Honestly, it isn't my taste and it seems like a ridiculous amount for what looks like shopping mall jewellery. If this is his favourite brand and he talks about it all the time, go ahead. But otherwise, I would reevaluate.

I have to agree- these look like accessories teenage Criss Angel wannabes wear with their Ed Hardy shirts. 

For $800 she could really buy something much, much nicer and longer-lasting.

I say get him both. A giant owl with purple eyes on a necklace would just look tacky without a bicycle chain bracelet.

Let's pretend this post is real.

1.  That website offers free global shipping so no reason why your sister can't do this herself.

2.  It's a gift that's supposed to be FROM her to HER FUTURE HUSBAND on the DAY THEY UNITE AS HUSBAND AND WIFE.  Just how does that conversation go?  "My dearest, as an expression of my love and just how happy I am be marrying you, I had my sister poll a bunch of internet strangers to pick out and buy this intimate gift on this, our wedding day."  Seriously, she can't even be arsed to pick out her own gift to the guy who is supposed to become her husband?

3.  That crap is ugly.  It looks like cheap ren faire pewter knock-offs. 

Just cut the pretense and have your sister buy him a card that says "I don't give a crap" and call it a day.
