Processional order

what is the best order for the processional before mass?

we have 4 groomsmen and 4 bridesmaids and a flower girl who is omly 1 but her mom is a bridesmaid.

in addition we each have one grandmother.


I have 2 brothers who will be ushers as well.

Grandparents are generally seated before the processional.   Do you have parents that will be seated or are the grandparents the closest family attending?

Generally it's
1 - Grandparents: Last before the procession.   Ours may have been seated just as they arrived.   My grandmother was over 90.   She wasn't waiting around!


2-Parents of the groom.   They can be escorted by the groom or if married FOG may escort MOG.   

3 - MOB escorted by someone of her choosing.

4 - Wedding party.   Some churches prefer that the GM are at the altar already and others have them process with the BMs.   Either is fine.  

5 - FG - at this age your FG would be escorted by her mom / held.   So I'd have that BM go last. 

Also, if your church has a wedding coordinator, they may have suggestions.

What Banana said is similar to how we did our wedding.  Grandparents were seated and DH walked in with the officiant from the side of the ceremony space.  Then to processional went as follows:

1) The parents of the Groom went together 

2) Mom decided to go with my brother. 

3) That left us the 6 GM and 4 BM.  The couples went together and the last two GM went solo

4) I came down last with my dad (no RB or FG).
