That's great!  He's not confident about the interview, or just with what's happening in life in general?

Life in general. He hasn't had interviews in 5 1/2yrs but he got help. He's really defeated about everything that's been happening

My only other tip because it's Frisky Friday is a BJ.

Tomorrow I have a cycle-thon at our Y. It is a fundraiser. I'm cycling for 2.5 hours. Tomorrow night some co-workers of H are coming for dinner. I told him he was going to be mostly responsible for the food. I'm not going to have the energy or time to be cooking all afternoon.

Thanks again everyone:). I wish Alzheimer's was the reason; my grandma had dementia and we too pulled back when she got really ill. Unfortunately it's actually because of family drama. 

GFIL is a very minor league celebrity who remarried quickly after his first wife passed away. None of his kids approved then and never tried since. Add in a family business in his name and fights over that and I'd guess (with the exception of the one daughter who handles his estate) he has only seen the rest of the kids twice in the last twenty years. Hence the stress and anxiety for H. He very much disapproves of how his mom and siblings handled this and feels he was deprived from that relationship.

@MissKittyDanger what's his personality like?  I'm a type A know it all so what would give me a confidence boost would be researching the company and practicing my interview with positive afffirmations. H is big on nostalgia so for him I'd replay the successes of his career. 

Other ideas include a new shirt and tie, a playlist with pick me up songs, complimenting him for things he does well.

Make sure he has confidence boosting underwear.  Women are aware of this, men tend not to be

@kimmiinthemitten  I'm not sure what personality types are out there lol He's typically got a natural confidence - not like "wow I'm great" but more the "I know what I know, and I'm comfortable in who/what I am" type. I've been trying with positive affirmations - "they may not be checking their email, so may not see your resume" etc etc.
