When to start looking?

Hi Everyone,

Exciting news!! I recently got engaged & started thinking about my weddings plans. We have set a date in November for the year of 2014. How long in advance should my fiance and I go start looking at venues?

    depends where youre looking, we got engaged in December and wanted to get married in spring of 14, after looking at a couple of places we fell in love with giorgios and booked it. it gave us the opportunity to negotiate since its so far out and have plenty of time to save.

    definitely start looking now. I got engaged in February 12. We decided on Oct '13 sometime in March, and only had the option of 2 dates when we looked at a couple of places in Nassau.  We ended up having to move everything to November
