Re: Whooopie! The Caribbean Next Christmas!

  • the link is the generic start up page - but the Caribbean around Christmas will be awesome, no matter where it is! And now I have that Jimmy Buffett song in my head LOL

  • Great price!  And that's good to know about Holland America.  I haven't ruled out cruising altogether yet.  But I have ruled out Carnival.

  • Awesome, where are you spending Xmas day?

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

Probably home alone with DH and the cat.  Maybe Skype with the grandkids?
We won't be returning until a few days before Christmas.  One thing I can expect - there will be a lot of nice Jewish people from Florida on this cruise! :)

I just got another sale promotion in the mail from Holland America.  They are having some knock out sale prices on certain dates, including early season Alaska and the Panama Canal.  If anybody is interested, NOW is the time to book!
Look at this one for 14 days on April 13 -$1099 pp for ocean view on the Rotterdam (a beautiful, elegant ship with bathtubs instead of micro-mini showers)!

This is why we love cruising.  You couldn't get three meals a day, hotel room and entertainment on land for this price.  You do generally have to be flexible to take advantage of these shoulder seasons bargains.  The fares will double in high season.
