Help me shop?

Looking for a chair for my bathroom vanity. 

currently leaning towards black (fabric or leather), tufted, comfortable, short arms or armless. Probably under $200 (obviously less is better, but considering how much we spent on the bathroom remodel, it's not much.)
maybe something along these lines: 

I'll probably get a small area rug, too.

I'd get a rolling chair for the vanity instead... Just easier to use and push in...

First, that is one gorgeous bathroom- great job. I like the second one better. I think it has the sleeker look which your bathroom design has.

I love both chairs, but think the second chair not only coordinates better with the style of your bathroom, but also looks narrower so hopefully it could be pushed into the vanity when not in use. I don't think you need to add casters.

The first chair is very elegant as well but looks better suited for a sitting area or walk-in closet rather than a bathroom vanity.

Fabric seems like such a pita to clean. I'd go for more like the second chair, but wouldn't want the rolled back at the top simply because I'd want it to sit more flush against the vanity. I know you want a back, but I'd try to keep it a low one.

@6fsn brings up a good point about the ability to clean fabric. It also looks like both chairs are suede/microsuede, which does not respond well to moisture (prevalent in any bathroom especially if you like your showers extra steamy as I do).

I'm always partial to the Eames side chair and the Emeco Navy chair, but that may be due to my being raise by an architect father and working in the AEC industry. I find both of these to be pretty comfy.

I would go with something cleanable and more of a stool or at least something that can be pushed in. I don't like things that break up the space so anything with a high back would be a no for me.

I would not go for anything in black fabric.  It will show dust and cosmetic spills so easily.  You would be constantly cleaning it, and it would never look the same after spot cleaning.

This is what I was thinking...powdered cosmetics on dark fabric is my nightmare.

Agree on both the fabric front and the stool instead of something with a back. Something modern to go with the bathroom, too, such as:

I don't know, but can I slot myself in to do my make up at your vanity? I'll make sure to do it around your schedule.

And I'm pretty quick.  i use foundation, 2 coats of mascara and lipstick.  I won't even need 5 minutes.

the stools are cute, but i really want something a little cushy with a back. I'm ok with a lower back, as long as there's some support. current chair isn't particularly comfortable (not to mention ugly/seriously in need of a refinish - it was free from the previous owner) - but i do like having a back on it. 

I was also considering leather, which would be more cleanable than the microsuede. (good points re micro-suede long term coloration.)

i was thinking of trying home goods, the Dump, Rooms to Go (they have a warehouse/outlet not too far - thought they might be a good option if i got a single "dining chair") - have to be careful going in that I don't come out with a replacement for the sectional, too. Maybe I can drag one of my friends along. we have an Ikea too, but i didn't see anything i liked on their website.

These are kind of nice...grey because it might show less wear/stains over time. These are pretty inexpensive, the backs are low enough to (maybe) be pushed in, and you might even be able to add wheels if you want:

I think the black chair would be fine. I'm currently using a black chair and haven't had issues. Any possible issues I use a sticky roller to clean up.

However, if you do want black maybe look at the leather. I love those chairs but I can see the fabric just generally being annoying lol
