Why do you want to have a destination wedding?
This is the most important question you need to answer before we can help you.
Then we need to know the following:
What is your budget?
How large is your guest list?
What country do you live in?
What time frame are you considering?
There are usually three types of people who want DWs:
1) Those who have a special tie to a destination
2) Those who are eloping/having a private wedding
3) Those who like the idea of having a wedding in a scenic area because of their wedding vision/pictures
As CMGr mentioned, we need to know WHY you want to have a DW. I'm guessing it's either #2 or #3 since you don't have any idea on where to have one. If it's #3, you really need to sit down and figure out the logistics (your budget, the guests' budget, number of guests, legality of the wedding, etc.) and ensure your VIP guests are fully aware of your plans and are on board with them. There are lots of couples who like the idea of a DW, but when mom and dad say they won't travel, or they can't imagine their day without grandmom, then they change their plans to have something closer to home.
