"Rehearsal Dinner" ideas around Hoboken

We are getting married in Hoboken, NJ on a Sunday in October. Since so many of our guests are coming from out of town, we'd also like to have a small, informal gathering the night before (no actual "rehearsal"...this is more of a mixer). We're looking for ideas for a venue where ~50 out-of-towners can come and go casually. Ideally, people could buy their own drinks at the bar, but we're open to providing food/drinks too. Just looking for an economical option so people can meet the night before -- but it's a Saturday night, which might limit our options.

We live in Union City, so also open to surrounding areas (Union City, Jersey City, Weehawken, etc.).

Any ideas, favorite spots or hidden gems? Thanks!

Sister got married in Jersey City, had the rehearsal dinner at Taphaus in Jersey City, so nice and right on the water.

    Battello's closed! Womp womp.

OP - TapHaus is a good idea, there is also Hudson Hall (a new beer garden) in Jersey City. You could also look at the bar at the W Hoboken.
