vendor pricing/holiday

Hello ladies! My fiance and I are thinking about a 4th of july wedding 2013. Would vendors (djs, florist, videographer) be more expensive on this day bc of the holiday (falls on a Thrusday)? Has any one else done/looked into this? Let me know! :)

Re: vendor pricing/holiday

 • Call and ask the vendors you're interested in for price quotes. You could tell them you are still in the process of setting a date and give them several dates to give you quotes for, like the 4th, then another random weekend in July, and one in August. Then you'll know if the 4th costs more.

 • Thank you! I wanted to book the venue before I looked into anything else, but I guess it makes the most sense to call a bunch and ask. Thank you!
 • Thewir prices may be more expensive if they're working on a holiday?

I've noticed that some vendors will charge a premium for working holidays. I would not want to work a holiday I could be spending with my family without extra incentive (read $$). If you start out with quality vendors that don't cost a lot to begin with your cost will stay reasonable. I'd check out plantorium florist http://www.plantoriumflorist.net . Joe is my go-to florist and he has great prices and does wonderful work.
