3 months to plan, please help!! - Question about Park Reception

Hello All!

I am trying to get married end of september, my fiance is military and we have 3 months to plan it all!  I am trying to do everything myself, i want a very DIY backyard casual 50's feel. 

I need to find a place to have the reception.  We have a ridiculously small budget, so I am looking for a park that allows weddings, but everything i google i cant find ANY information.  I tried calling and cant get any answers either!  I need something in Suffolk county, preferably the sayville or islip/bay shore area. 

Does anyone know how this works with booking parks??  Anyone know of anyone who has done this?

PLEAASE i need your help!!!

    i have no idea about that far east but september can be tricky weather wise. make sure you find someplace that has an indoor just in case.
    i would also contact restaurants with party rooms. that might be easier for you (weather wise anyway) and you wont have to clean up.
    i know you WANT a backyard DIY 50s feel but with onyl 3 months and really limited budget you mightnot be able to get it.

    Try the Sayville Grange or any Hibernian/VFW/restaurant kind of venue.  I am an ordained, Interfaith minister in Islip.
