I need recommendations for affordable bridal alterations in LA. My wedding dress arrived and I tried it on. Despite the fact that they took measurements at the time I ordered it and despite the fact I work out a lot it was too tight :-( They tried to pressure me into alterations at the bridal store (wedding is in July and I mentioned several time I do not wish to make decisions about alterations until April) and told me it would be $850 for a bustle (which I don't think I want - I think I will have the hem trimmed to floor length), take in of the bust (I didnt wear the proper bra though), and waist alteration (the dress was way too tight there). I was shocked! I did not sign and said I would be back in April. But I am interested in finding my own tailor - hopefully more affordable. Any recommendations?
