Third Love

Has anyone used them for bras?  I need new bras, like, yesterday.  I have zero time and zero desire to go shopping.  These seem pricey, but they deliver so.....

Re: Third Love

  • My friend has gotten their bras and loves them.  They are pricey, but she says they are of good quality.  I've wanted to try them too.  Also, you get the try before you buy guarantee...so, it can't hurt?
  • I really like them, I have probably 5 or 6 by this point. They're definitely higher quality than say Victoria's Secret or Walchol (which is what I used to wear). They hold up after washing and keep their shape really well. I mainly wear the tshirt bra and I haven't tried many of the other styles (for reference I'm a 36D and don't need/want push-up or anything super fancy).

I like that they delivery, and you can try on/wear/return if you need to. One thing about them though is I found they ran a little small in the band and a little large in the cup. I should have gone down a half size in the cup.

Hope that helps! If you have questions I can try and answer...  I did order the bundles so you save a bit if you're ordering more than one.
  • Ladies you are making me look up these bras now :| I hate bra shopping.

Price point - comparable to ...?
  • I have two.  I'm not working with much so I can't comment on how they support a fuller chest but I do like that they wash well, stay in place, don't gap and the straps don't fall.   I prefer a push up which they no longer carry so I may have to see.
  • My girlfriend has a few and raves about them. It's been on my list to order a couple for a while now, but I'm going to wait until I'm done breastfeeding.

  • If this is the website I'm thinking of, and I think it is, they really PO'd me.  As a new user, I had to fill out this questionnaire thing.  Surprisingly longer than I thought it would be, like 5 minutes or so.  I also had to give them my e-mail address to take it.

One of the very FIRST questions is your bra size.  I get all the way to the end of their long, dumb survey.  Only to have them tell me that they don't carry my size at this time.  WTF!?!?  And you jerks couldn't have told me that in the beginning before I wasted a bunch of my time?  I despise companies/people that needlessly waste my time.

FTR, I wear a 42D.  Sure, I'm on the fuller-figured side.  But I've been able to find my bra size at literally every store I've ever been in that sells bras.  Yet another side-eye for these so-called "bra experts".  I even sent them a polite e-mail about the poor experience I had.  No reply.

I wonder if that's the same place.   I just looked and it seems like they do have your size but I heard that when they were growing a year ago they seemed to grow too fast and their CS suffered.

What I don't love is that some of their styles they no longer carry and no longer plan to.   So while I liked what I had I'm not understanding why they don't plan to carry a pushup anymore.  Some of us really prefer the extra padding!
  • If you have a bra you love, you might be able to find it on Amazon and get prime shipping. That's what I do, because I have to shop by brand. Mine are usually a little cheaper, too, which is nice.

I usually end up in Bali. I like them fine, but know that my size has changed. I should just suck it up and go somewhere.
  • How does online bra shopping go for you guys? I have to try on everything? I'm a 32F, and I can only find stuff at specialty shops and I spend hours finding stuff I like.

I order 7 bras and return 5 after trying everything on, and once I know my size in a particular brand it gets easier.

@Baconsmon for the WIN!!  Why have I never looked on Amazon?  They had the style I generally like in the sizes I want to try for $12.99 each with Prime.  I ordered a few sizes.
  • I love ThirdLove.  I'm a 34DD after my reduction surgery and these bras have the most comfortable straps.  I ordered a few different styles and returned the one I didn't like (the lacy fabric clung to my shirts too much).  They also have great customer service.

I used to spend $80ish on bras when I was a G so $60 is a no brainer for me:).

My sister bought their nursing bras. She seems to like them. I won't buy them though. I looked at the bras and there are no hooks in the back! It only has a front closure. I adjust the hooks over time as the bra stretches out. I would prefer front and back closures or just back closures. So basically, they're shortening the life of the bra for me. I also dislike that pleated strap thing. It looks like it would leave weird marks and potentially look weird under clothing.

I can tell you that the pleated straps don't leave odd marks.   I have one like that and I thought the same thing but they seem fine under my t shirts.

The two bras I have from them aren't front closure.   I didn't move to 3rd love until I was done nursing though.   I couldn't justify the cost of expensive nursing bras when I felt like they were temporary for me and I'm not needing a ton of support.

Ok, interesting. It just likes kind of weird and unnecesary, but all my bras are very basic!

As for the front closure, I think that's just the nursing ones. A lot of their other ones have back hooks.  I'm also cheap when it comes to bras. What I like about the idea of Third Love is being able to try them on and exchange them without paying for return shipping if they don't fit. I have a very hard time finding decent bras as well as clothes that fit in general (I order based on the sizing chart and then get clothing that is huge on me). I hate, hate non-underwire, and the vast majority of nursing bras don't have underwires. I actually don't own any nursing bras except for one I hate (non-underwire) that I only wore those first couple weeks because I couldn't find any good ones locally. I've just made do with what I have, and I exclusively breastfeed. The ones that were underwire had thick molded foam cups. I only want a tiny thin layer of foam, just enough to keep the headlights from showing.
