Tuesday? Tuesday?

Anyone around this morning? Not too much going on here. Working and trying to say awake. I went to bed way too late last night and I'm feeling it today. 

But I'm starting to get excited for the weekend. I'm heading to NY for a long weekend to see all my friends from college. I'm hoping it's nice weather. I'm going to try to get a long run in Friday after I land so I'm planning running routes in the city.

I'm here. It's been a semi-productive morning but I'm stalling on the project I need to do. It's gorgeous here today and I just want to be outside. I have four miles to run tonight so I'll at least get to take advantage of a little nice weather today. Other than that, not a whole lot going on.

Good morning! 

Jack and Aurora are determined to keep us from getting a full night’s rest so I’m pretty tired today. I have some errands to run but otherwise it’s SSDD. It might rain today which would be nice. I made an Irish beef stew last night that will be perfect for dinner today.

I'm at the "why isn't it Friday?" part of the week.

I have too much to do at home but there's so much to do at work that I can't take any time off either.

N finally slept better last night - 2 nights of active teething and a terrible cold made for some rough nights. 

Its gonna be be in the 80s today!!! In Chicago! It’s a damn miracle! Yesterday was 70s so I took him out for multiple walks so he’d finally nap and I was so thankful the weather cooperated. Today will be even better!

I'm here.  I'm off tomorrow and I cannot wait.  The weather is going to be amazing. I have running around to do.  The weather is also awesome today.  It was a long wait for spring, but it's definitely making up for time lost. 

DH asked what I want for Mother's Day and I have no idea.  At least he's thinking about it.   

DH's aunt is so extra.  SIL (who just had a baby 3 weeks ago) posted a video of my older nephew saying some stuff (he's only 2, so everything he says is adorable) and eating ice cream. His aunt makes some comment about how 'great' it is that SIL making my nephew feel special even though she has an 'extra' baby now.  This was my face:

MrsConn - Yikes Aunt! 

Last night DD was a pill.  She was pretty happy during dinner even though we put shoes on her (her new thing to hate!).  Afterwards, we put her on the floor to practice wearing shoes and walking.  She was like a statue!  It was funny.  I helped her to walk a bit and she kinda liked it, but still hated the shoes!  I also noticed that tooth number 8 was finally coming in!  We were stalled on teeth for the last 4 months and I didn't think she even had one in there!  I'm hoping for a nicer evening.

Not much else here.  SSDD.

Do you have Padraigs in your neck of the woods? That's what DS had on his feet for his first two years because they were warm and had a sole he could walk around in.

I'm sleepy. FH and I spend last night finalizing the seating chart and it was harder than we had anticipated. However, I just had dark chocolate for the first time (LOVE) and discovered a new lunch place!! So over all my Tuesday is going pretty well!

This is the tip of the iceberg of asshole behavior from her.  I just know SIL is still having the postpartum ups and downs, plus yesterday was BIL's first day back to work.  So the comment was even more unnecessary than normal.

Holy foot-in-mouth, Aunt Conn! man!

My pointy elbows have worn through another sweater. And It's freezing in my office and I'm wearing a sleeveless shirt so I'm just wearing this sweater with a hole in the elbow all day. Oh well.

It's already too damned hot here. This skipping spring thing where winter lasts forever and then it's suddenly 80 is not working for me.

I have a million and one things to do this week. One or two huge things and 999,998 little ones.  I’m sitting in the sun watching my kid play and goofing off though. 

My friends got a a foster baby over the weekend.  The boy is just under 5 months and has been horribly abused- malnourished, broken ribs, bruise all over, an adult bite mark over his nipple, he couldn’t poop. Despite that he was smiley and cooing and snuggling. I’ve been crying all morning over that sweet soul.
