Re: Thursday

  • Thanks to you all! I think I'll check it out for an alignment, but I will look for red flags such as a longterm treatment plan when talking to the chiropractor.
  • I just have to complain for a second.

shopping here sucks. I have to go to each individual store to look at the price and selection, most place don’t have an accurate list of items online and inventory varies between locations. It is so frustrating/ daunting. Shopping online is a joke. Second hand is my preferred option but then I am at the mercy of FB sellers and such.

I posted searching for a thing. A lady immediately messaged me with the item. I asked a few questions, including the cost. She responded quoting Z, I asked if she could do X, she said best she could do was Y. I said great, when can I come collect? Silence. Eventually, I send another message giving her my number and schedule letting her know I was stepping away from my computer so text would be the fastest way to ahold of me. Silence. The next day I send a message asking if I could collect the item this weekend. Silence. I know she read the messages because notifications are on. I am irrationally irritated by all this and unsure if I should reach out again apologizing for trying to haggle?? I really want the thing she is selling. Why is it so hard to give people money???

Argh!  That is really frustrating.  But I would just let it go at this point.  Or give it at least a week before contacting her again.  I doubt she was offended by the haggling.  I don't understand it either, but people can just be flaky like that.  She might even be planning to get back to you, but wasn't sure of a day/time so didn't respond until she knew.  And/or then it fell off her radar.

I was recently in the market for a used pick-up truck and Craig's List was my main source for looking.  Over the course of our looking, we sent 8-10 e-mails to different fresh/new ads.  We only got three responses back.  And one of them was a scammer, lol.  The other two were small used car dealerships.  Even one of those...which did end up being the truck we purchased...was a guy we had to keep chasing to set up an appointment because he didn't always respond back, just to come see the vehicle.  Although it was a small, used car dealership, they didn't have regular hours.

One of the non-responses was also a small, used car dealerhip.  The ad invited you to call their dealership or send an e-mail.  I did both of those things multiple times.  Never responded to my e-mails.  Never picked up the phone.  Or returned my messages.  I was just trying to find out what days/times they were open to come see the vehicle, ffs.  Because hours of operation weren't even listed on their website.  Completely nuts!!!

  • I go to a chiropractor a few times a year, and I feel that it really helps with my back and neck pain.
