I never saw Elizabeth and Andrei’s story in 90Day but I liked him/them during their 15 minutes of fame during quarantine and pillow talk. So part of me feels like his determination to have his FIL pay, and pay a lot for the wedding is to make us not like him and add drama to their story. “Well who should pay then?” He asked. Ummmm the couple?
Edit to add: plus FIL is expected to pay for a wedding he’s not even sure he can GO to?

I did google and Elizabeth’s sisters may have read wrong. Moldova was once said to be the most UNHAPPIEST place in the Romania area but not unsafest.  It was unsafe many years ago, but now seems to be OK.

I actually like Tania more in this season, which makes me believe she was exaggerated back in 90Day too.

Paul baffles me.  How did such a level headed mother raise him the way she did? There is really something mentally wrong with him.  I feel bad for Karine.

I really haven't been a fan of Andrei's. There's been many times he acted like a total ass - not just to Elizabeth's family, but Elizabeth too.

    Andrei is an ass!

Was there a new episode of something last night? I didn't have anything record but Sling seems to miss them sometimes.

Andrei was a lot better in Quarantine and Pillow Talk.  But in their season, he was a really controlling misogynist.  He also seems to be lazy AF.  He's been able to work in the US for at least one year (I think it's more like 2 years), but apparently just chooses not to.  While, at the same time, wanting them to blow money they don't have.

In fact, his FIL paid the tuition to put him through trucking school while he was waiting for his authorization to work.  But when Andrei discovered he'd pretty much have to spend his first year of gaining experience "only" making $750-$1K/week, plus have an erratic schedule and not necessarily working every week, he decided that "wasn't worth his time" and hasn't done it.  In that season, he decided he was going to start a handyman business instead, despite not having any experience.  His FIL even offered him handyman jobs within his own company...which is owning a bunch of rental properties so, yeah, there is a lot of that work...but Andrei refused to work for his FIL.

Her sisters (eyeroll).  Puh-leez!  With their "business owning husbands", SUV-driving, designer purse carrying, upper middle-class lifestyle.  I'm sure their version of a seedy, scary neighborhood is one that doesn't have a Starbucks on the corner.

On the bolded for Paul.  Ah!  You must not be familiar with the infamous "hair" scene, lol.  On Paul's first season, which was going to Brazil to meet Karine for the first time, his mom gave him a "lock of her hair" to keep with him on his travels.  So, that would have been creepy enough if she'd done something like brushed strands, tied with a ribbon.  But she didn't even do that.  She pulled hair out of her brush and then just handed him this gross, clump of hair.  He himself was a real weirdo in that season.  A major germophobe and he was carting something like six big totes of stuff with him.  Some of it was presents for Karine.  But a lot of it looked like the back room of a drug store for all of his "worst case" scenarios he might encounter in Brazil.

I'm excited to see what Karine thinks of the US, though.  They've been in so many seasons, but they've always been in Brazil.

I hope Angela is well, but it was nice to see her finally getting a reality check!  ((paraphrasing her doctor)), "Weeellll.  Since your 54 and have already started menopause.  The chances of you conceiving naturally are almost nil."  TBH, I think some of this has been played up by the show.  Angela isn't the sharpest crayon in the box, but she doesn't seem that stupid either.

I didn't understand why Syngin and Tania moved into a new place.  That seemed really foolish because it sounds like they're planning to move out of the area anyway after her foot heels.  So why not just stay living in the shed and save that money.  I can't help but wonder if it isn't so much a "choice" as her mother finally saying y'all need to GTFO, lol.

((snarky warning))...Oh, and Tania, whatever happened to your herbal healing business?  You know, the reason you went on that expensive 30-day retreat in Costa Rica, while Syngin was stuck in the US for that 90-day K-1 visa.  But you simply HAD to take it then and not delay it any further.  For your and Syngin's future.  Remember that?  What happened to that?

Yes, there was a new "What Now" episode (I think that's what it's called) last night.

Tonight is the start of the new season for the new show B90 Strikes Back.  Looks like people from the last season of Before the 90 Days are going to be "clapping back" at what people have said about them online.  I assume there will also be another episode of The Other Way.

there are seriously too many spin offs at this point, I can't keep up. I know they are just riding the wave of their extra popularity during quarantine but gah too much

I agree - it's way too many! I forgot to record last night.

I love as much 90DF as they'll give me, lol.  But I understand what you all are saying.  They have really gone over the deep end.

The only 90DF spin-off I never watched was Family Chantel.  I didn't care for that couple and was disgusted by both their families.  I just couldn't.

But, other than that, I have seen every episode of every 90DF series.  I joke to my H that, one of these days, he needs to call for an intervention, lol.

I didn't watch Family Chantel either.

I just watched The Other Way - I swear none of these people work and save money while they are apart and then complain when they have no money when they're together.

Wtf on Yazan's freak out in the airport parking lot? If that was real and not just crazy editing I'd be on the next plane back home if I was Brittany.

    @kvruns, good point about finances.

I think Deavan moving to S. Korea is a mistake.  She should have told Jihoon that either he gets his act together or he'll need to move to the US and be the SAHParent.  It doesn't make any sense that she currently has a job (at least that is my impression) and has it together financially.  He doesn't and never has, but she's moving there anyway and expecting him to support her and the two kids.  Plus I think she's been living with her mom.  If she's been working f/t and doesn't have many expenses, she should have beau-coup dollars saved up.

I especially side-eye Jenny.  She's 58 years old (I think) and has almost nothing saved for her retirement.  But never mind that.  She's retiring at least 7 years early anyway to go live in India, with only 1,000 bucks to her name.  AND was living with her daughter for the 6 months before that, but chose not to work.  Even a minimum wage job...and I'd bet in Palm Springs that even basic jobs pay better than minimum wage...would have netted her an extra $5K to put in her coffers.

Brittany and Yazan are ridiculous if they think their relationship is going to work out.  She's lying to him about her divorce status.  He's lying to his parents about her "definitely" converting to Islam.  Right, he's already freaking out because she hugged crew members and brought alcohol with her.  I hope a lot of this is overdramatized for the show because, if not, they are in serious trouble.  I agree.  In that moment, I'd at least start rethinking the relationship if not call it off totally.

See, with Devan I wonder if she didnt make enough to support 4 people, and her mom said Jihoon would not move in with them.  So it was move out and support 4 or move to Korea and have him do it.  Neither is going to work out.  And childishness aside, I like Jihoon!

Did Britney bring alcohol with her to bring back to her place to drink in private? Because that’s the loophole I’d use “said I wouldn’t drink in public, can’t stop in my own kitchen”.

I also thought that about Jenny. Why didn't she get a job while she was living with her daughter??

That's possible.  That thought occurred to me also.  I know she lives in Utah, which probably means Salt Lake City.  I've heard it's HCOL there.  But there are a lot of places within a day's drive that aren't and they could have moved to.  Just seems like her ability/desire to work is much stronger than his.  Or maybe part of it is the US has more job opportunities, but I think it's Jihoon's attitude that is more the problem.  Plus, S. Korea sounds like they have a HCOL if Jihoon working double shifts and every day, still wouldn't be enough to support his family.  But then, we're also having to go off what that guy is saying which I'm not sure I trust, lol.

Today was a season 5 rerun marathon.  I had NO idea David (of David and Annie) had a past.  But he seemed so sincere of him learning from his mistakes.  And I love that couple!

Josh and Yanika was a huge red flag for me since it was Josh’s third marriage and he said both ex’s cheated on him.  Yeah.  I was my ex’s third wife and heard that same song and dance. Turned out my ex was the cheater (and then they just got fed up and did their own thing, so he wasn’t lying when he said they were skipping out on the marriage, they were - but so was he). Maybe Josh’s story is different and true.  Not saying it’s not.  But I am saying it was a red flag to me. No one’s going to tell their future spouse they were the problem.

Oh and Evyln (The Anne Hathaway look alike) is a CLASSIC beauty and pulled off her mother's wedding dress. 90% of bride’s couldn't.

The Williams & Yolanda - likely split up?
    were they ever together?

Is this a season that had more break ups than ever before?  Watching some old eps, I feel like the dynamic has changed and now they’re just screening fake relationships for drama tv

The relationships in the earlier seasons definitely seemed much more authentic.

I had that same thought also!  None of the new couples are still together from the latest season of Before the 90 Days.  Except (maybe) David and Lana?

He was so weird and sketchy on the Tell-All.  I'd swear he said both that "we are not still together" and "we are still engaged".

They said David and Lana aren’t.  Geoffrey and Varya “unknown”. Both her and Mary are on his social media still so they don’t know what’s going on?
maybe both ladies are waiting to see if he can prove himself innocent in his court case?

As much as I hate to admit, I'm a little older than Jenny. My take on her is that she doesn't have much going for her in the U.S.- financially - so she figured she has nothing to lose. Sunit is a long shot for her. She figured life was cheaper in India and he would support her.
    Bad gamble.

I can see that point of view, from Jenny @mariepoppy. She does really seem in love too.

Jesus christ, Paul. I can’t with him. He really is so dramatic about everything!  Simply tell his mom they need to pull over when she can, so Karine can feed the baby!  As it sounds from pillowtalkers, that’s not a law in Brazil and Karine doesn’t know that yet. Also, why did it take his mom and dad to tell him he’s an adult and needs to take care of his family?  shouldn’t he phrase it  “I am 36 so I have to take care of my family without my mom and dad’s help”? Plus, mom is taking care of the hotel cost so she technically IS still supporting them.

Kalani and Asuelu.  Wait 5 months, get the vaccine when he’s a year old and then go.  But even then, it’s still not 100% proof.  Maybe waiting helps you save and then you can see what the epidemic looks like 5 months from now and gauge it then.  If not, don’t take the Wife/kids? I get the Asuelu is home sick and should go and see his family, I would want to too. But he can still go alone, right?

Also Larissa asking her Dad for $5k to stay in America.. did he know it was for body contouring? Then again that could have been free or severely discounted, maybe her friend owns that med spa?

I read a thing about Larissa that she makes money being one of those "social media influencers".  That all/most of the cosmetic surgery she got done was free/cheap in exchange for promoting her plastic surgeon.  I was wondering the same thing about the body contouring, but it looks like her buddy...who's been in other episodes...works there.  So it probably was free or a massive discount.

I was SO PISSED at Asuelu!  WTF, dude?!?!  WTF?!?!  Stop being such an irresponsible, petulant child who wants what he wants when he wants it.  Your child's f**king life is at stake!  And we aren't talking 5-6 years.  We're talking 5-6 months.  You can scrounge up the tiniest bit of patience and WAIT, to protect your youngest child.

And that his "justification" was it would be a "small risk".  Yes.  I agree.  It would be a somewhat small risk, if the son got his vaccine early.  Except the "risk" he is talking about is a 7% chance his son will contract measles and possibly die.

I don't understand how Paul is expected to find a job and a place to live in one month...I think that is how long the mom said they will pay for the hotel.  I just hope they got some kind of bulk rate, lol.  That didn't look like an Extended Stay-type, economy rate motel!   But I don't blame her for not wanting to put them up at her house.  That guy has been a lazy mooch off his parents, his whole life.  I know in a previous season they had said they would not cosign for Karine's visa.  I can only assume that has changed because, otherwise, I can't imagine how he would have been able to bring her over.

Paul could have also applied for jobs while still in Brazil and if nothing else try for a retail/stocking position while you work for something else. I dont remember what his background is if he would be looking for a career-type job or not.

Oooohhh!  I had not heard about their spin-off.  I wasn't interested in Family Chantel, but I would definitely watch this.

They're a little too over the top and dramatic for me, especially Darcey.  But they seem like loving, nice people and I've grown to like them.  I wonder why Stacey isn't doing the 90DF show, since it sounds like her man is coming over on the K-1 visa anyway.  Maybe she's saving it to amp up this spin-off instead.  Shrewd, girl, shrewd!

On B90:SB, what is with Ed wearing and open, satiny robe!  Dude, seriously? Most people can't get away with that look and neither can you.  Plus, you have to already know a lot of people find you creepy.  And now you're dressed like "opening scene of a 70's porno" creepy.

I really like Rose.  I'm so glad she didn't continue her relationship with Ed.  She has one of the most expressive faces!

Tom dissing on Darcey's looks again and calling her fat, smh.  Didn't he learn from all the online hate he got the first time?

    ----
    The Other Way

I enjoyed watching it but, now that I'm thinking back, not much happened.  We got to meet the new couple or at least the guy.  Which was funny because it is another Tim with another woman from Colombia.

What is with Colt and the new girl?  Saying they "love each other" and even starting to think about a major international trip together and talking a little about marriage.  But Larissa is way wrong to contact her.  Larissa, please.  At least stop pretending you will be contacting her for her "own good".  Your only motivation is to thwart Colt.

Devan did not smile once.  It does not bode well.  And what is with her mom!?!  Yeesh.  I don't understand how someone can causally spew that many 4-letter words in front of both their young granddaughter and strangers they just met.
