Transportation

Heyy
so me and my FI are having a winter wedding in january and i was thinking off a classic white rolls rocye or bentley us our transportation out of the church. Opinions?
Do you think it would go well with a winter wedding?
Im not really going for vintage per se

Also should i come in the car when i pull up to the church or in a limo with my bridal party and leave in the car with my husband ...

Re: Transportation

  • Is it going to fit the style of the rest of your wedding?  The only time I have seen a Rolls used in a wedding was for the only daughter of one of my former firm's named partners.  They married in an old stone church and the recepton was at an exclusive country club with a twelve piece band, white rose flower arrangements on anything that didn't move and seven course cooked to perfection meal.

  • I'm getting married in November and we will have a 1947 silver rolls.  Nothing else about the wedding is vintage-y, but it has always been my fantasy and FI is into cars and classic cars, so we splurged.

We have a 3 hr minimum, so I will ride in it to the church with my dad, and then FI (then H!) and I will leave in it together to go to the reception.

  • You'll find that most places have a 3-4h minimum (at least around here), so it will cost you the same to have them just transport you from the ceremony to reception as it will to bring you to both the ceremony & reception (unless you have a very long time for pictures). If you have the means for it, I say go for it. It was something I wish I could've done, but wasn't a priority.
  • I would be focused on your budget and your weather possibilites. Is a rolls Royce going to be able to get around Baltimore in January? I'm from Northern Ilinois and I know that wouldn't be ideal here with out winters.
