Affordable gown for destination wedding

Looking for an affordable wedding gown for a destination wedding in Mexico. Every designer I have looked at.....the dresses are just ‘too much dress’ for on the beach. Any advice?

    Try dresses on before limiting those designers out.  Remember that many of those dresses have the models wearing extra crinolines and the like in order to "fluff" them out giving the appearance of "too much dress".  

    You could just look for an elegant white dress from a place like Nordstrom's or the like that'll be just the right amount of dress for the beach and be easier to travel with.

    Try BHLDN, the bridal shop in Anthropologie. They have some light dresses. And don't think specifically wedding dress. You don't want to haul some long-trained thing all the way to Mexico and back on a plane.
