Hi - our wedding photographer is from out of town and on her pre-shoot checklist asked us to confirm we didn't need permits for our engagement photos in a couple of week. We are planning to take photos near Belmont Harbor on the concrete steps at the lakefront. From Chicago Park District's website it appears that we do need a permit and then we potentially need to reserve a time? Does anyone have experience with this? I'm sure COVID is complicating everything too.
Also I'm aware that you're only supposed to use the lakefront path for exercise and commuting, however, I've been to this location near Belmont Harbor several times and small groups have been congregating/social distancing from other groups and no one has been around that has stopped us or others from what I've seen.
