While my wife and I were swingers in our early 20s (and enjoyed it very much!), we moved to a more conservative area 10 years ago and found ourselves completely disconnected from others in that subculture (we are now 40). About a year ago, a couple in their late 20s moved in next door. Our homes are very close together, and their bedroom is next to our driveway, where I spend a great deal of my time tinkering around. Imagine my delight when I first heard them loudly going at it. Occasionally, my wife and I can also hear them while we’re in our kitchen. We feel a little guilty about this voyeurism, but it has caused our sex life to explode again. We also think we’re picking up interference from their baby monitors, as we’ve heard them having sex and some of their discussions (including their apparent interest in swinging). The couple is very polite to us, and my wife and I have thought about getting to know them better in hopes it could lead to something more. Is this something we should pursue? If not, is it still OK to listen in?

So IMHO listening is one thing - I mean, porn sounds are important to some *shrug* - but omg back t.f away from your neighbours!

This is creepy.

It's one thing to swing but when it happens with neighbors that can start to delve into weird territory. 

It's one thing if you can't help but hear their noises and it's another thing entirely if you SEEK them.

I've made the jokes about a government wiretap with our Alexa enabled fire cube and how we probably put the person assigned to us asleep.  

But I I knew my neighbor was listening in on me, I would feel so exposed.  And also, if I was fodder for their horniness...it would make me want to move. 

This LW and their spouse need to stop.  Find a different boner.  It's akin to shitting where you eat.  Just don't.

It's one thing if the sound is wafting from their bedroom to yours.   It's another that you are finding ways to get at it! 

And FFS, have you not read enough advice columns to know that NO GOOD comes of this?  If you want to be swingers doing it with the neighbors is NOT a great idea IMO unless you really can do this without any personal attachment or commentary.
